Mystery PS3 Exclusive Could Be Quantic Dream's Project
So everyone is wondering about this secret PS3 exclusive that will be unveiled during the Spike TV Video Game Awards.
As usual, there are a ton of theories out there, but perhaps none fit as well as the following: Quantic Dream's new project.
We've already heard that it isn't the oft-discussed brawler featuring Sony mascots and in truth, we're sort of running out of options. It could be God of War IV but the way Keighley said it on Twitter ("PS3 exclusive you won't believe"), it's difficult to think we "wouldn't believe" a new GoW. Others have suggested Resident Evil 6, but that won't be exclusive, and we've already heard about games like The Last Guardian and Twisted Metal. It's too early for a new Uncharted unless Sony is going the dreaded "annualization" route...
It's also too early for Gran Turismo 6 and Metal Gear Solid 5; the former is gonna have a ridiculously long development cycle as usual, while Kojima has said his team hasn't even begun on the latter. And then there's Quantic Dream: Heavy Rain was a gigantic success, selling about ten times better than Sony initially anticipated, and it remains one of the most respected titles of the generation. Studio boss David Cage was obviously thankful for the response and made it clear that such a positive reaction would allow him to take the next step in interactive storytelling.
You may notice that we haven't heard much from him, either. At least, not recently. We get the feeling he and his team are working hard on something, and they are very happy with their Sony partnership; Sony took the risk and stuck with them during the Heavy Rain project, and Quantic Dream appreciates it. They've said that numerous times, too. Lastly, it's a favorable gap: Heavy Rain launched in February of 2010. If they unveiled a new game now, to be released in mid-to-late 2012, that would make sense.
...of course, now that we've said all this, we won't even be close. ;)

Eurogamer: Will your next project be a PS3 exclusive, and if so would you use 3D or motion control?
David Cage: [long pause] We are interested in both. In 3D and motion control. The very first game design of Heavy Rain was based on a motion controller, actually, that we designed ourselves. We wanted to use the Dual Shock and clip a plastic part on it with three little lights that would be detected by the EyeToy. That was four years back, so we suggested the design to Sony but it was not feasible at the time, so we agreed to go back to Dual Shock.
But we've had an interest in motion control for a very long time, and all of Heavy Rain's interface is really designed around motion. So we have a lot of interest in this motion controller, we start to play with it, and yeah, we definitely want to do something with it.
Now, is it going to be a PlayStation 3 exclusive? Well, that really depends on the publisher of Quantic Dream's next game. If it's Sony again, yeah no doubt it's going to be exclusive.

Here's what the main actually said:
“The question is more for us now, with Heavy Rain it was right, but after Heavy Rain the question can be asked whether we should stick to one platform or open out to different platforms. Now that we’re established why are we limiting ourselves to one share of the market when we can reach more. There are pros and cons and it’s not an easy decision.”
Does hint at a strong possibility of a multiplat...

Seems to me that a title like that would be geared more towards a younger crowd and doesn't really entice me. Although, I can only imagine the number of units sold by nintendo of that game. Cash generator...
A new QD title would be nice and fit that quote if they've grown and expanded from what they created with the fantastic Heavy Rain game.
Stay Classy PSX...

It's odd that they changed it to that but it still seems you can copy PSOne games to you PSP. You just have to use the install file instead of the actual installED file. Also after you install the PSOne classic it no longer automatically deletes the install file. You will have to delete it manually.

"Remake SOCOM 1 in HD, why?
-It was the first online console shooter
-It sold 3.44M copies
-Once profits soar S2 maps can be DLC
-It was revolutionary
-The return of classic multiplayer is crucial"
Sorry for being off topic.

though i dont think i can handle seeing my favourite mascot dragged through the mud again.
if antivision did to crash what they did to spyro in skylander adventures, well, they would wish they never existed.
id settle for a crash 1,2,3,CTR and bash HD collection.

I think that it's likely to be the brawler, but I'm not sure that I could get behind it. Could also be DONTNOD's Adrift, though I think that was supposed to have gone multiplatform. What I wouldn't be able to believe is Heavenly Sword 2 with NT back at the helm. It wouldn't actually surprise me, considering the poor commercial reception of Enslaved and the backlash against DmC, and Sony doesn't seem to like to burn bridges. Could be a new Insomniac project too. Sure, Overstrike is multiplat, but they've said they want to keep doing exclusives as well. Might be too early for it though.
Another possibility is Jak and Daxter 4, though ND wouldn't be behind it, obviously. I'd imagine a Sly scenario with the Classics HD developer, Mass Media Inc. handling it. My final thought is a wild card: Ready at Dawn. They did 3 PSP games, and have been developing a new engine for consoles since the end of '09. Sure, they released GoS at the tail end of last year, but if I remember correctly, only ten members worked on the Remaster Edition of their GoW games, which leaves over a year for work to have begun on a new game, with an engine that must have been close to ready at that point. Although maybe they'll just be doing more Vita games.
Peace.
NO WAIT!!!
You know what would REALLY blow my mind?
Valkyria Chronicles 4, plus reworked versions of the PSP games to give them bigger battlefields, etc. to bring them more in line with the console versions.
Egads, I just got myself hopeful...

If not that an exclusive Metal Gear title? - Which I am still sceptical about. It won't be GTA or anything by Capcom. If its God of War IV I won't be to fussed as I neevr really got into that series.
