South Park: The Game Confirmed, A "Full Scale RPG"
See Full ImageForget about those silly Acclaim titles from way back when. "South Park" is going big-time.
As revealed by Game Informer, South Park: The Game is currently in the works. It's a collaborative effort between THQ, Obsidian, and "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
Parker and Stone will be writing the script, performing the dialogue, and overseeing the development process. Believe it or not, this is a "full scale RPG" for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It isn't some funny little action or adventure game to be delivered in digital format; it seems everyone involved is serious about producing an ambitious, quality product. You will be the new kid in South Park and you'll have to gain allies and "defend the town from a wide range of threats." ...what threats? Your guess is as good as ours.
The January issue of the magazine will feature an interview with the main men in charge, and we'll hopefully get an estimated release date, too. All we know is that it'll drop some time next year.
Okay, so who's ready to kill off Kenny?

It is Kenny so I'm sure they'll find a way to do both.
I can see a minigame already that will have you both capturing and then defending Kennys mom and whoever has control will have an army of Kennys at their disposal.

-Mecha Streisand
-Saddam Hussein & Satan
-The Woodland Critters
-The Guinea Pirate
-Professor Chaos
-Scott Tennorman
-Bono
-Michael Jefferson
-MANBEARPIG
-Tuong Lu Kim/Dr. Janus
-Eric Cartman himself
Then factions such as the 5th graders, the girls, AAA (Sea Otters), the Gingers, NAMBLA, Japanese (Chinpokomon & Dolphin and wrale phase), the Mongorians, New Jersey, the Rednecks (DHEY TUK ERR JERBS!) the Aliens, Angels/Mormons, The Confediracaahh.
Then the boys have their own themes (The superhero phase and anime phase).
Combine that with the Lochness Monster (tree fiddy!), Rob Schneider, Scuzzlebutt, Mitch Connor, everything consisting of Randy Marsh's hilarity + everything from Imagination land and it will be enough to make more than just an RPG.
I just really hope it'll be well executed.

South Park is one of few consecutivly good comedy shows i have seen from America.
I consider Matt Stone and Trey Parker two of the brightest and most intelligent minds in comedy.
This just spells win/win.
