Sledgehammer Hiring For A New, Unannounced Title
It has been an interesting year for Sledgehammer Games.
First we hear they're working with Infinity Ward on the Activision blockbuster, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Then we hear they're cranking on an "action/adventure" CoD installment. ...then we hear the latter got canceled (supposedly).
Now, a reader has sent us a link to a Gamasutra job listing, which clearly indicates that Sledgehammer is working on something new; something that is an "unannounced high-end console title."
No specific details on the project, but the successful applicant will be working on the "Call of Duty development team," and that person "will be involved in the creation of multiplayer game modes and online community features." Now, we suppose Sledgehammer could've signed on to help again, only this time with Treyarch. Or maybe they're taking yet another shot at a Call of Duty installment all on their own.
Who knows what's going on over there? But wouldn't you like to see them work on something besides CoD?
