Tony Hawk To Reveal New Skating Entry At VGAs?
Due to a lackluster attempt at a skateboard peripheral and a waning interest in such titles this generation, the blockbuster Tony Hawk series has dwindled in popularity.
The hey-day of a perfect 10 for Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 at GameSpot is long gone, but that doesn't mean the skating legend can't try again, right?
If you check his Twitter feed today, you'll see that Tony Hawk will be on hand at this weekend's Spike TV Video Game Awards to announce something new and as he says in his message, it isn't a coincidence.
"I'll be announcing the upcoming release of something new on Sat; the same day as the Spike Video Game Awards. Coincidence? I think not."
We figure the fans are still out there, and they'll respond if a talented developer can produce another great Tony Hawk installment. EA's Skate franchise has sort of stepped up and taken the skating crown since the debacle that was Tony Hawk: Ride, but Activision has often said the Tony Hawk franchise isn't dead...

What do we want?
How about FUN. Because that is the word which describes THPS2,3,4, Underground 1,2, and American Wasteland. That and good soundtrack. Just make a fun game.
