Rumor: Darksiders II Rampages Into Summer 2012?

The original garnered plenty of loyal fans, and every single one of them desperately wants a launch date for the sequel.

Well, you might catch your first glimpse tomorrow night if you tune into the Spike TV Video Game Awards, which kick off at 8 p.m. EST.

According to several sources (most of which point towards European site Playfront.de), Darksiders II will be one of several big games to grace the stage at the VGAs. We've also heard that the trailer will come with an estimated release date of Summer 2012. For now, that seems like a good launch window; what else is set to come out during the summer? It's usually a slow time.

I'm hyped for darksiders 2. DS1 was one of my favorite games of 2010.

Just started the first one and am enjoying quite a bit..Glad I waited for the price to come down but I was definitely missing out..Of the pics I've seen I can't wait to finish this and look forward to playing as Death

Sign me up for this one. The first one was awesome and unique to the platform being and action-adventure type. I sort of want to go back and play through it again on hard, maybe go for the platinum.

I've been tempted to play it again on the ps3 (I got it on your advice, but as a ghetto rental, and beat and returned it), but I got it for 5 bucks for pc on cyber monday week.

There's a bunch of potential in this franchise, hope they reach it and we don't get another Dead Rising kind of fail.

I have confidence in it. If Darksiders 2 was being developed by Capcom I'd be concerned. It seems outside of SFIV most things Capcom have been met with disappointment.

Sounds good but don't change the formula too much. They're got the new character and the new setting, all they need now is a jump button that works every time and I'll be good to go.

release date has always been summer 2012!
xplay had a preview of it a few weeks ago and they said its going to release platform wide even the wiiU version.
wiiU is suppose to be out late july next year so just before august this should be out.
cant freaking wait, darksiders was a freaking awesome game!!!!!
so so soooooooooooooooo much better then dantes inferno and GOW3!
