Epic Reveals New Project: Fortnite
See Full ImageNo, it isn't another Gears of War. Like Naughty Dog, Epic Games is looking to try something new.
Epic design director Cliff Bleszinski introduced a trailer for his new project at the Spike TV VGAs tonight. The game is Fornite and instead of the authentic grittiness of Gears, this one has a more colorful (if not playful) style, and a focus on survival and exploration.
At the start, a cameraman follows a group of survivors as they attempt to locate building materials for a fort. Later that night, all hell breaks loose and...well, we can guess at the gameplay. We're still not sure about platforms or a release date, but Bulletstorm was multiplatform, so we're hoping it'll come to the PlayStation 3.

Although this isn't something I'd expect from Epic, I still think it looks to wind up being a whole lots-of-fun.
I just hope it's going to be on disc & not just a D/L only title.

All kidding aside, this actually might be a fun game. Reminds me of borderlands a little.
