PSXE Poll Update: Skyrim Still A Beast Despite Glitches
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim had quite the night at the Spike TV Video Game Awards this past weekend, and most readers believe Bethesda's latest was worthy of the acclaim.
According to our most recent poll, the majority of those who participated believe Skyrim is still a legitimate Game of the Year contender and one heck of a masterpiece, despite the potentially game-crashing flaws for many PlayStation 3 players.
Those who never experienced any problems continue to defend the game, while those who have encountered only minor annoyances will leap to the RPG's defense as well. We can understand that; the game is absolutely a triumph and the radiant storytelling and questing system gives hardcore role-playing fans a game that literally never ends (and it isn't an MMO, either). The ambitious size and scope of this adventure is insane, even if a few gamers are pissed at another buggy product from Bethesda.
This week, we want your opinion on Naughty Dog's freshly unveiled The Last Of Us. Many appear to love it - the developer in question can really do no wrong these days - but what do you think? Did you want them to stick with Uncharted? Are you worried that this new project will be too generic (i.e., a monster-slaying shooter)? Or are you just totally pumped 'cuz that debut trailer was amazing? Let us know.

I'm stoked about The Last of Us, I think it would be unfortunate for Naughty Dog to stagnate at this point, which is why I hope TLU is a little more open.

Though that extra 2 or 3 minutes for a day one patch may be annoying, its good that they test played their game right before launch and caught stuff they saw needed a fix. Does Bethesda even test their games? I know their games are massive, but eventually gamers wont buy that excuse.

So no... I'm not buying this game. I know it's great and excellent fun, but I could not stand being stopped from finishing it. This kind of thing can't go unexcused just because "Up until that point, it's amazing".
Yeah... well... I have lots of other games that deserve GOTY to play. It's not like I need Skyrim.
If Bethesda fixes the problem, I'll bite for sure. But if they never fix it, then I will never play.

ill never understand why people keep giving bugthesda a free pass!
i really dont see what people see in this game, i mean come on theres HEAPS of games out there better then this!
not saying its a bad game, its not, but its not the second coming either!
as usual, the game that gets GOTY, is the most over rated game of the year!
if not generation!

a few games like fallout too.
ill never understand how whenever bugthesda releases a game the media roll out the red carpet and praise them like the next coming, and the community line up around the corner!
especially when every game they release is unplayable after months after release!
if they were the only ones making those styled games then that would slightly justify it.
slightly!
but there not, theres plenty games like skyrim and fallout which are not only better, but a hell of allot more playable!
i dunno about you, but i dont like putting aside 4 hours to play a game, and spend 80% of that time doing one thing because i had to repeat it so many times because the game kept bugging out on me!

But Uncharted 3 has my GOTY vote.
Uncharted gives me (everyone) real character development and emotion attachment. Skyrim will never do that.
The "Last of Us" has me so excited. I can't wait.
