Bioshock Infinite, Rainbow Six: Patriots Make Waves At VGAs
In addition to The Last Of Us (undoubtedly the biggest news of the night), a few more games generated plenty of discussion in gaming communities.
For our money, two trailers piqued our interest- the first is the fresh atmospheric video for Bioshock Infinite. Although it doesn't show us much of anything new, it's easily one of our most anticipated titles of 2012; Irrational Games and Ken Levine are gonna produce an absolute gem. The atmosphere is always second-to-none in this series, and above all else, this trailer drives that point home.
The second trailer is for Rainbow Six: Patriots, which isn't due until 2013. But if they get this one right, it's going to have a gigantic impact, and it won't be due to the gameplay. No, this one is going to cause a stir among many circles outside of the gaming industry, as you can gather from this video. It's actually a little frightening.
We figured we'd give you guys the chance to discuss both trailers here. We might try and add the Comment function to the videos we post up every week; generate conversation that way. We know people have asked for it before, but I've been pretty busy. Looking into those t-shirts right now. :)

absolutely loved bioshock 1 and 2, just the atmosphere the games give off and the environment.
i still have nightmares hearing those little sister screams!
thats what i loved about bioshock 2, it was not scary but it was really suspenseful.
like the part where you first meet those enemies who crawl on the roof and throw flying hooks at ya.
the lights blow out and all you can hear is something scurrying around the roof, really creeps you out!
thats what dead space 2 needed, it just does not have the atmosphere and tension you would expect from a horror game!
i wish they would bring it back to infinite.
i doubt they will, by the looks of it its going to be far less a corridor shooter.
as for rainbow 6 patriots, well, im worried about that game.
not because it looks crap, it looks f*cking awesome!
but because i can see the media having a field day with this, and getting it banned worldwide!
weve always had controversial games, but breaking into a civilians office, strapping him to explosives and belting him out of the window to the street below blowing up 10s of cars i think is just taking it a little too far.
the whole terrorist concept is a touchy subject lately, MoH copped the sh*t for having the taliban playable in its MP!
imagine what there going to do to this!
i commend ubisoft for their bravery having the balls to do this, i just hope it does not back fire!
we dont need another six days.........

Bioshock has also never really interested me. I bought the first one about six months ago and I still plan on playing it once I catch up with the dozen or so RPGs I have in my backlog. So hopefully I can join the fans of the series after I finally play it.
The Last Of Us absolutely peaked my interest along with the Command & Conquer: Generals trailer. I have played every single Command & Conquer(that has been on Playstation consoles) and have yet to be disappointed. And though the trailer didn't show much, all I needed was the name and I'm hooked. Hopefully Ben you can dig up some info on that one, such as is it still an RTS, release date, and any other tidbits you can find. I hope they don't change the genre like SE did with the Front Mission series that would just break my heart.

That Rainbow 6 video looks awesome. Is it wrong that I actually want to side with the bad guys if they're strapping bombs to bankers?
