Grand Slam Tennis 2 Dated, US Fans Get Fantastic Box Art
Well, I'm a tennis fan so I'm allowed to be excited.
EA has announced that Grand Slam Tennis 2 will launch in North America on February 14; it'll actually hit European shelves four days earlier on February 10. Lucky Euro gamers.
Because tennis is very much a global sport, different countries are getting different boxes for the game. For instance, gamers in Spain will appropriately see Rafael Nadal on the cover, while those in France will get Jo-Wilfred Tsonga (one of the most underrated players in the game, in my opinion). As for us, our cover will feature Novak Djokovic, Maria Sharapova, and legend John McEnroe, which means this is probably the coolest tennis video game cover ever. Seriously.
Grand Slam Tennis 2 will boast the four Grand Slams (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and the U.S. Open), and that's an exclusive feature. The roster will consist of 20 past and present players, and that includes the aforementioned names along with the likes of Boris Becker and the Williams sisters. If you're wondering, the first title didn't do well on the Wii so it never made it to the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, so this is the first time GST has come to those platforms.
I'm not sure what to expect. But I always hold out hope for a great tennis game. 'crosses fingers'

The second somebody makes a good tennis simulator that allows downloading of user-generated characters, I'll be all over it.

always wanted a awesome tennis game with move support, thats what $ony should bring to sports champions.
by far one of the best move games just needs more sports!
add tennis and golf, and expand the games there and it would be the perfect move title!
