SSX Pushed Back Two Weeks For A Last Coat Of Polish
Looks like you'll have to get your high-flying fix elsewhere on Valentine's Day.
But as SSX creative director Todd Batty says, there's no reason to sully the good name of a beloved series; after all, there's a reason it's one of the most critically acclaimed franchises of all time.
Therefore, the EA team is taking a couple extra weeks to finish off this reboot. In a public letter to the fans, Batty revealed that SSX will now launch on February 28 in North America and March 2 in other parts of the world.
"Over the course of more than 10 years of making games I have not worked on a single project where our team did not wish, coming down the home stretch, that we could have just a bit more time. There is a reason why Tricky and SSX3 are still among the highest rated games of all time, and it is because even playing them today they still stand the test of time. Our goal from Day 1 was to re-launch this amazing franchise with a new SSX game that could live up to that legacy."
This marks the second delay for the game, but that's all right. We've got other titles set for Valentine's Day that should tide us over...anyone forget that Twisted Metal drops on that day?

But in anycase, I dont think a 2 week delay is anything to be upset about, especially with everything already coming out in feburary it'll give us a slight break.
