PSN Update: Oddworld, MotorStorm, Zombies Gotta Die
See Full ImageYou can't have a fantastic update every week; some weeks are just sorta ho-hum.
But we really need to turn your attention to the new stuff that hit the PlayStation Store yesterday; it's the final Store update of 2011 and there are so many products that are well worth considering. Check it out:
As listed at the PlayStation Blog, multiple attractive items are now awaiting your perusal. First up is the new twin-stick shooter, All Zombies Must Die, which features "a bevy of RPG features, four player co-op and optional PlayStation Move support." Then there's Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD (which we've been waiting on for a while), the Splinter Cell HD Collection (pick up individual titles in the trilogy, if you wish), and the super fun MotorStorm: Apocalypse.
At least one of those should pique your interest so if you didn't get absolutely everything you desired for Christmas, now's the time to grab a lot of digital-based entertainment. It's not a bad idea; people are everywhere this week trying to redeem gift cards...might be better to stay home and download 'til your heart's content.

cause i remember playing this as a child and it been one of the first games on my ps1.. ahhh the memories :')

i have not downloaded a thing off PSN since joe danger released!
i was so excited when i saw we were getting a oddworld remake, i thought it was like the original games.
a side scrolling platformer.
then i saw the trailers, and my heart broke!
WTF does this have to do with oddworld?
soon they will have kratos in a freaking space suit dodging lightsabers and meteorites!
i really hope they do a remake of the 2 original oddworlds!
they were just so unique, and ahead of their time even by todays standards!
no other game out there is even similar to it!
same goes for pandemonium.
sigh, how i wish crystal dynamics would go back to their old ways........
only studio to ever give ND a run for their money!

The only Oddworld to ever disappoint was Munch's Oddysee, primarily because it was rushed to launch by Microsoft.
As for the older games, both Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus are on PSN //right now//. There's no need for an HD remake. They play as well as they always have. Buy them. Go go go.
