Borderlands 2: Details For Gunzerker And Siren Classes
We're sure you've heard of the Berzerker class; role-playing aficionados especially are probably familiar with the aggressive character.
But what about a Gunzerker? Yeah, that's a first, isn't it? Gearbox has released more details on this new class for Borderlands 2 and as you can see, it's bad-ass destruction combined with a bit of strategy.
You can only dual-wield for a certain amount of time, first off. That really means you have to plan ahead. If you want to increase the "gunzerking" time for each kill you make, you can use the Yippe Ki Yay skill in the Rampage tree, but that's only one example. There are two other skill trees, too: the Brawn one is "more attuned to being a tank in multiplayer." The third, Gun Lust, focuses on your firearms; the No Kill Like Overkill ability converts any extra damage you inflict into health for you. ...nice.
The developer also confirmed that the Siren class would be returning, but it'll be a little different this time around. Well, actually, lead writer Anthony Burch said it would be "very, very different and very, very new." Do you want to see the Siren overhauled in such a way? Or were you happy with her the first time around?

It's essentially a game full of side missions. The main game never really progresses. I thought the main point of this game was to collect many different parts to custmoise a weapon, it turns out that the game just offers many different weapons with different stats... thats it, once I found that out I didn't give the game any piece of my time. I watched my flatmates get excited over obtaining a new weapon... but I just don't understand why it was so exciting...
But my main problem with a game like this is that I have already played it through Fallout 3 the same way I feel about Rage. While they might have techinical advantages I just have no interest exploring another post-apocaylptic world.

The cell-shaded graphics worked great in this game. Granted, the AI could be a little smarter sometimes, but overall it was tons of fun.
And Ultima, I understand what youre saying about the game being a lot of side missions, but technically most of these open world sandbox games are just a bunch of side missions. The main mission was to reach the vault - period. Unfortunately, and I think everyone who played this game can agree, the ending to this game was TERRIBLE! I think even Gearbox knows it sucked - it just kind of ends....and that's it.
Still looking forward to Borderlands 2 - as it was tons of fun.

i stopped playing because, well, running around a map searching boxes for flowers is not exactly fun!
let alone trying to do that while 1000000000000 enemies are trying to kill you!
thats what put me off, repetitive boring missions i could put up with but not being able to do what you need to really pissed me off!
i mean how are you suppose to search for the required items if your spending your whole time killing enemies?
kill these billion enemies so another billion appear, so you kill those billion so another billion appear.
when does it end!?
oh that, and the fact that the game corrupted my save 3 times in a row!
then when i went and asked for a refund they accused me of doing it deliberately just so i could get my money back.
yea, suffice to say i wont be buying any more of gearboxes games if thats how they handle customer support!
