New Evidence Indicates May Launch Date For GTAV
It's one of the biggest questions of 2012: when will Grand Theft Auto V hit the market?
EEDAR analyst Jesse Divnich says Rockstar's latest will be even bigger than this year's Call of Duty, and hardcore GTA fans have been waiting for a while. If you forget, GTAIV launched in April of 2008.
So how much longer will we have to wait? Well, recent predictions have fallen in the middle of the year, and the latest piece of evidence is no exception. If you check NME's website, you'll see a list of "reasons to be excited about 2012" and right there at #8 is GTAV, with a reference to a May release window. That doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility; Max Payne 3 is set for March, so May might be the perfect time.
Also, Rockstar has a history of bringing out debut trailers for new project around 7 months before the game is ultimately released, and that GTAV debut video hit the Internet in November. So...are we going with May? Or do we need more solid proof?

though i still cant believe it, i mean they announced agent 2 years ago and a game that was released 2 months ago is going to release before a game announced 2 years ago!?
also, R* always have at least a year between GTA announcements and a release, i remember seeing the IV reveal trailer then waiting forever for the game!
eh, whenever it releases i dont care all i care about is its a proper GTA game unlike IV!
i want grand theft auto 5 not boring immigrant simulator 5!

As for a May release well, that's one big "DUH" from me. Take-Two's fiscal year ends on March 31st and GTA was a natural choice to be put into the middle of a new quarter of a New Year and that would be May. It's still well in that quarter to generate revenue but just far enough away to not eat too much into potential Max Payne 3 sales.
I said back in November on this site either May 22nd or 29th, I'm going to stick to that. Of course I was wrong about their not using "V" in the name several months prior but apparently they've either changed their stance on the numbering of titles or V will be a different universe from IV. >_>

I have seen and read much about "GTAIV", but never purchased it for my PS3... This time around I will not miss "GTAV"; and I will be getting it for my AAA collection.
I must admit I am more interested than ever after playing the excellent "Red Dead Redemption" epic of a game. I am expecting "GTAV" to be just as good, if not better!
It can't come quick enough!
