Two House Of The Dead Titles Lurch Towards The PSN
It's just another excuse to get a gun attachment for your PlayStation Move.
Sega has announced that two arcade shooters, House of the Dead 3 and House of the Dead 4, will be released exclusively on the PlayStation Network. The third entry will arrive on February 7 and the fourth will be available this spring.
In addition to Move support, both games will also boast slick high-definition upgrades, as well as Trophies. House of the Dead 3 was originally released back in 2002 in the arcades and was also on both the Xbox and Wii. The fourth iteration, on the other hand, has only been playable in arcades; this release on the PSN will mark its debut for home consoles. Said Sega of America Senior Vice President of Digital Business Haruki Satomi:
"The House of the Dead has always been one of SEGA's most popular series, and over the years we have worked hard to bring that full arcade experience to console owners. The abilities of the PlayStation 3, as well as PlayStation Move, have let us get closer than ever before. The only thing these titles are missing is a need for quarters."
Sega has already released House of the Dead OVERKILL: Extended Cut for the PS3, and that was a pretty entertaining shooter. We always recommend getting the Sharpshooter accessory for the Move, though; anything less doesn't feel quite as accurate.
