AMY Haunts PSN On January 10

It's one of the more ambitious and promising downloadable titles of the year, and it'll be here before you know it.

Lexis Numerique has announced that their innovative and freakishly creepy survival/horror title, AMY, will arrive on the PlayStation Network on January 10, and a day later on the Xbox Live Arcade.

The setting is Silver City in December 2034. After a comet leaves the planet in ruins, a deadly virus spreads and infects any humans unfortunate enough to be in its path. Players will control Lana, who wakes up in a veritable hell and finds that most everyone she once knew have been transformed into unrecognizable - and decidedly dangerous - monsters. Lana encounters Amy, an 8-year-old autistic girl who somehow has mysterious powers; the two end up working together to survive. What is Amy's secret...?

Developed by VectorCell Studios and supervised by Flashback creator Paul Cuisset, AMY should be quite the experience. It'll retail for $12.99 on the PSN and 800 Microsoft Points on the XBLA.

This game looks awesome. I've been craving a good survival horror game. As much as I love Dead Space, it isn't as horrific and creepy as I would like it to be. I hope it captures a feeling of powerlessness and actually requires wit to survive. Just a few more days!

I really want this but since it's a D/L game, I'll wait to see if it gets a PS+ discount later on, (as I do with all D/L games)

I don't understand why it's $12.99 on PSN and only $10.00 on XBLA? I was going to buy this, but I refuse to be price gouged! I feel if I buy this game I'm saying this type of business practice is okay. VectorCell can take their BS pricing and shove it!

Been waiting for this since Summer of last year... now just need Journey, Dust 514 and I am alive then my PSN titles of the year list will be complete (though that first person survival horror game that comes out at the end of the year looks promising too).

As for ppl whining about the price the Devs dont have any say so in the price MS and Sony make those decisions... there are plenty of posts on their official FB page with ppl asking for the price (before it was officially announced) and their reply was always "we have to see what MS and Sony say first before we can announce pricing" so yeah blame Sony for the extra 3 bucks not them

Sony isn't the publisher, so the developer always has the last word on their product. They can choose not to allow their product to be put on the market unless their pricing terms are meet. To say that they have no control over their own product is stupid! Sony may want a higher price but the Dev is the one allowing Sony to charge it. If the Dev threatened to pull the game Sony would play ball or risk losing a product to the competition.

If it's Sony's fault, or the Dev's fault, I could give Sh*t less! I want the same price or more content! Pointing fingers isn't going to get it done.

GIVE ME THE SAME F**KING PRICE ON ALL PLATFORMS!

Umm you just said Sony can choose not to allow the product on their market if their pricing terms arent met... meaning if the devs wanted to sell it for 10 bucks but Sony says make it 15 or you cant put it on our store then doesnt that mean sony DOES have control over the price?

"Their product" meaning the "Developers product". The game is not Sony's product. And I don't care to point fingers I just want the same price for the same product. If people do not buy the game, it puts pressure on the developers, to pressure Sony to bring down the price to achieve better sales.
Or if it's the developers price it will pressure them to lower it. Either way, the developers do have some sort of power in these situations.
If you feel the need to point fingers then point them at Sony and/or the developers. Neither you nor I know who's really behind the discrepancies in price.

If it was not up to the Publishers then why are they running a Facebook poll and contemplating a delayed release to correct the pricing? They stated that the price difference is because of international valuation discrepancies in currency. Which is absolutely no excuse. AMY is not the first game to release internationally, but it is the first game that I am aware of that has this problem.

Also, I Would gladly pay the $12.99 but as a consumer I must stand on General Principle. Same Game, same country = SAME PRICE!
