GameFly's Most Requested 2011 Title ISN'T Modern Warfare 3
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 can't win everything.
Although it was by far the most popular game of 2011 based on sales numbers, it didn't win the most wanted crown at GameFly.
It has been revealed that Rocksteady's critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham City was the game rental service's most requested title in 2011. It topped both the Cross-platform and Xbox 360 list, but couldn't quite beat out Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception on the PS3 list. Click through the link above to view all the top 10 lists for each major gaming platform.
Here's the one for the PS3:
- 1. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
- 2. Batman: Arkham City
- 3. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
- 4. Battlefield 3
- 5. Dead Island
- 6. Assassin's Creed: Revelations
- 7. Saints Row: The Third
- 8. Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim
- 9. Resistance 3
- 10. Rage
Man, why even bother to rent Skyrim? You know you'll never return it once you start it. Anyway, I'm wondering if GameFly has since added more new copies of the most popular games; when I was a member, it felt like they had three copies of any highly anticipated title. There was just no chance of getting it in the first month of availability. Has that changed?
Thankfully, I get most everything I need from publishers now. ;)

@Ben, yes they have gotten extremely better at having more than just 3 copies of the hottest games. In my experience of course. I have never had to wait more than a week for a new release, but you have your publisher plug, so it matters not to you.

Since I've been out of work, so far I've only been able to get one game out of all those....Rage
Hmmm, I've never used GF, so I'm wondering why there wasn't any PSP games list included there, or don't they rent/sell PSP games too?????

Ben! I love Gamefly....I get my game pretty much on day 1 release (depending on if I get my other games back in time). Play it...love it, then decide to keep it and pay about 10-20.00 less than retail. That's how I picked up skyrim!
