Capcom Studio Working On Two Unknown "AAA Titles"

You know what we need? A great game from Capcom.

The new DMC (Devil May Cry reboot) has been farmed out to Ninja Theory, and we have no idea when Resident Evil 6 might arrive. Hardcore purists don't even want to talk about Operation Raccoon City, the third-person squad-based shooter in development at Slant Six.

Dead Rising wasn't bad but after the last mediocre installment, gamers are looking forward to something new, right? Well, the team responsible for Dead Rising 2 is Blue Castle Games, a studio that has since been renamed Capcom Vancouver. And according to GamerZines, the team is now hiring for an "unannounced new IP." Furthermore, they're apparently working on two new "AAA titles." Thus far, Capcom has made nothing official but we hope to hear something soon.

Yes, new IPs from a Japanese publisher. That'd be a good thing, don't you think? We do.

All i really care about getting announced from capcom is Resident Evil 6 .That is if it come back to it s survival horror root .

After some thought , it s not true .I would also love to hear about a new breath of fire game ( probably won t happen sadly ).

P.s personally i can t wait for Operation Raccoon City .

For real , 6.9 for dead rising 2 .....I guess it s more of a hate it love it game then i thought ( read some more reviews after yours ).

God i hope that never ever happens. MKs line-up of colour swapped Sub Zero ninjas & semi clad, cloth faced Kitanas would be an absolute insult to the Street Fighter cast. If Capcom are going to attempt another fighting game cross over then have it with DOA or VF. The match-ups would be far more delicious imo; Akira/Ryu, Chun Li/Pai, Juri/Goh etc. Bass/Rufus, Ayane/Ibuki, greatness.

Mk can keep their tired old fatalities & shock value gore out of Capcoms classic. Keep that spew out of my Hadokens.

Capcom, we know you've made mistakes in the past, but this whole new IP business is making me foam at the mouth. Who would have thought they would take risks like that? There is hope for you yet...

I still do want to see a Megaman revival though, and not in a pile of poo Battlenetwork kind of way.

It may be a Japanese publisher, but it's a Western studio. Capcom will be wanting them to play to their own strengths with whatever this new IP is, though the other game, I'd imagine is Dead Rising 3. After a bit of digging, they've only done baseball games besides Dead Rising. Unless Capcom is throwing their name in the ring to publish sports titles, that doesn't help much.

Ah well, I'll keep it in mind.

Give us a new Onimusha, maybe a title that plays similar to Dino Crisis & a new Clock Tower.

Relive some of that magic you had on PS2 that is clearly lacking this gen.

at this point. I don't want capcom to touch their classics. they'd prolly just fu** it up somehow.

I have to say other than Street Fighter IV nothing else Capcom have done this gen has interested me at all (Actually DMC4 was okay.). I played RE5 and was massively disappointed. I don't care for the action>horror route they're taking it, but I will still at least se what they're are offering with RE6.

I reckon with all of the hype around Jurassic Park recently a Dino Crisis IV might be in order. I never played Dino Crisis 3, but I heard Medicore things. But I generally enjoyed 1 & 2.

I would also say Onimusha, but since the new direction the 4th game took, I don't know where it could go. (Mind you I have only briefly played it, it's on my to play shelf...)

If anything, I want a Devil May Cry 5. I like Ninja Theory, but I don't approve of the reboot. DMC4 left you with an interesting set of characters for a DMC5 which I still want.

I say Onimusha would have been a better fit for Ninja Theory as unlike DMC Onimusha wasn't as combat heavy and more of a emphasis on story, which is something that they're very good at.

Forgot about Onimusha , another one would be great since i loved all 4 .They implemented new stuff in all of them but they always stayed true to the core gameplay .
Too many companies try to turn games into something else and it annoye me a lot .I mean if you want to change stuff this bad it might be a good idea to start a new i.p instead of spiting on fan face ( looking at you too square enix ).

I am guessing Dead Rising 3 and Resident Evil 6. That's their current gen bread and butter. The way Capcom has performed this gen I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything in the new IP camp.

i have a feeling a new Viewtiful Joe game is coming as well.. if anything for the PSN and LIVE stores
i was kinda iffy when i saw the avatars for download i mean it feels like their may be HD versions available for download in the near future as ps2 classics and with this news it kinda speaks viewtiful joe is coming back as a new title
the second is pretty freaking obvious its RE6 its about time they shed light on it... i remember watching a video after re5 that it would take up to 4-6 years to develop a new RE game well guess what people (its going to be 3 years exactly in march and really good games tend to release info in small portions before unveiling it and then waiting almost a year to come out)
