Diablo III Changes Based On Beta Info
Diablo III is definitely coming to consoles, so we're covering news and updates for the game. No, it isn't official but I mean...come on. How many more Blizzard employees have to confirm the console version it before it's "official?"
Anyway, based on beta feedback, the team is prepared to make some significant changes. According to an update over at the Diablo III Blog, we're looking at a few system changes: first up is the disappearance of Scrolls of Identification. Now, all you'll have to do is right click (not sure what button that'll be on the PS3 or 360 controller), wait a few seconds, and the stats of an item will be revealed. They're also taking out the Cauldron of Jordan and the Nephalem Cube, because keeping them wouldn't give players enough incentive to return to town. To go back to town, just use the Stone of Recall.
Blizzard is also making changes to the core character attributes, the Mystic Artisan has been removed, and the blacksmith will be able to salvage items for players. These new alterations will be seen in an upcoming patch, so beta testers will be able to try out the new and improved Diablo III. As for a release date... 'sigh' Still hoping.

After all, it's been in development for at least as long as Versus, been "delayed" countless times... And since StarCraft 2 wasn't met with the same acclaim as the original, why should we give that game any slack, compared to Versus?
Hum...
(personally, I don't care about the wait for either games, but it's funny to see how Japanese devs get all the crap these days while western devs get free passes all the time...)

Sad they are removing the ID scrolls. They could do something like: Sorceress and Wizard (and maybe Witch doctor) can ID but other classes need scrolls. Loved to hear the sound of the ID scroll hoping for the item to be a top tier Unique or a crazy rare lol.
And I fail to see how this game coming to consoles makes Blizz in the wrong. I played D1 on PS1. Long loadings but was still fun.
Personnally, even though I can only do the first chapter, I find the game pretty addictive. Played last night... Only wanted to mess around for 15-30mins and when I checked the clock again... 3hrs had passed XD. So far it looks very promising and I am pretty eager to get my hands on the full release!!!

I would only point out that I think the character models are pretty low res. (Not many polygons and not much detail) Also, you can't look at your character in the menu (like spin around him to see gear) Looks good when you play since you are far from your character but when you look at it in title screen... They couldve done prettier models. At least put it as an option for stronger pcs.

But what's funny is that you have to right click on them and see details. Why not just have every item's details show right away?
