Aliens: Colonial Marines Pushed Back
Well, there are plenty of other games to play in the meantime.
Sega has revealed that Aliens: Colonial Marines has been delayed. It was originally slated to arrive this spring, but now it won't arrive until the fall.
The statement said the project needs to follow the inspiration and creativity of the developers, rather than a timetable blueprint.
"Aliens: Colonial Marines is a process of creativity and invention and those don't necessarily follow the structure of an assembly line. While setting clear goals, deadlines and predictions is helpful, they are often subjective. We don't want to sacrifice the creative process just for the sake of following a blueprint. We prefer to have the creative discovery shape that blueprint because our goal is to make a great game, and we are prioritizing this goal over the previously targeted date."
If you're wondering, the game picks up after the events of the classic 1986 sci-fi thriller. Players will join up with a bunch of space soldiers aboard the USS Sulaco (yeah, the ship in the movie) after it was abandoned, and then proceed to planet LV-426 and its primary settlement, Hadley's Hope. This is a first-person shooter that should be faithful to the film(s) in question and we say if Sega needs more time, fine.
Mediocre titles are always disappointing. Just get it right.

Both movies were well cast. Again, I think Cameron made a great sequel. It was bigger and in some ways even more intense than the original. I loved the ending as well, Ripley in that power lift vs the Alien queen was epic. "Get away from her you biatch" My hairs still tingle everytime I watch that scene.

Plus the marines did just about everything wrong. I love Sigourney Weaver in it though, she deserved her Oscar nomination.

The Power Loader scene is cool but the way it ends (same death for the alien as in the original) with the Queen holding onto Ripley's foot is laugh out loud stupid.

It just shows the strength of the series and every film being unique even further with Prometheus incoming.

I think the problem is you were expecting and wanting AliensII instead of Alien3. Alien3 brought the series back to its origins.
Alien deserved more than AR, AVP, and AVPR. Although I've always been against any sequels and prequels to Alien I'm holding out hope for something at least watchable with Prometheus since Ridley is directing it.

seriously, this is starting to become a joke!

Don't think I will have much time for it anyway as I will be quite busy with `Skyrim` and `Dust514` for a bit I suspect.

Oh, and the AI looked really glitchy and dumb in the demo too. Hopefully they can work on that as well.
I'm not hopeful they'll actually fix those issues though.

This game has been in development for a long time. The track record for delayed games isn't so great but I am going to try to be mildly optimistic about this game.
