Rumor: Killzone 4, Killzone Vita Title, New IP In Development
We can't wait to see what Guerrilla Games does next. And it appears we could be looking forward to multiple announcements.
According to an "inside source" cited at TheBitBag, Guerrilla is working on the next Killzone entry, although we don't know if it's for the PS3 or PS4. It also seems that an installment for the PlayStation Vita is in the works, as well as a mystery new IP.
Guerrilla has gone on record saying they wanted to tackle something new, so it's not exactly surprising. They're not trying to hide the fact, either, as evidenced by the front page of their website. The big question is: what's this new project like? It's not another Killzone entry, right? Is it another FPS, though? Well, guess we'll just have to wait and see; maybe they'll reveal something at this year's E3 in June. ...too much to hope for a slick RPG?
What do you want to see Guerrilla try?

As for the new IP, I'll say it's a pure TPS to rival Gears. I mean, Sony doesn't really have anything like that, so it makes some sense and does give GG freedom. Anyway, it'll probably release before the PS4 to give the IP time to establish itself then GG will split, as ND have done, to continue both series on the PS4 in the future.

they already announced after KZ3 they were doing a new IP, and yes it is for the ps3.
and the vita version has already been announced as co developers.
KZ4, well no sh*t sherlock especially after the ending of KZ3!
id love to see a KZ4, hopefully it follows the tradition of 3 and starts of right where 3 ended, and is the same structure of 3 just with boss battles added back.
its funny 3 added everything i wanted over 2, but it also removed the best part of 2, the boss battles!
something all ps3 games did last year, look at R3 and uncharted 3 too.
ask anyone out there what was the best part of R2 and they will say the massive boss battles!
so insomniac removed them for R3!
ask anyone out there what was the best part of uncharted 2 and they will tell you the boss battles, my personal favourite was the chopper.
so ND remove them for the sequel.
sigh.......
what is it with developers latley and taking the best parts of games and removing them for the sequels?
i thought the whole point of a sequel was to transfer what people like and improve on it, fix what fans did not like, and remove what you cant fix.
not remove what they liked, fix nothing, and keep in things they hated!

Anyways, GG is almost at the very top of my list of great developers based on their technical prowess alone. They just need to figure out how to tell a decent story and open up the levels more in the SP campign.

I also like to think that that live action video that was released not too long ago is indicative of just that situation.
