God Of War HD Collection Finally Hits One Million Sold
High-definition remakes of classic titles can be popular, but only one particular Collection has managed to hit an impressive sales milestone.
Sony confirmed that the God of War HD Collection has sold one million copies worldwide. Sure, it took a few years, but it got there, right?
The port was done by developer Bluepoint games and featured 720p high-definition visuals for the first two God of War titles, which were late PS2 masterpieces. The Collection also gave us the benefit of 60 frames per second and perhaps best of all, a playable sample of God of War III. If you missed out, you can log on to the PlayStation Network and download the Collection; it's available in digital format if you don't want the disc hanging around.
All this God of War talk makes us antsy for a GoWIV announcement. Supposedly, that unveiling should come some time later this month...we'll be on pins and needles until then.

I hope Bluepoint continues working on HD collections. They've done amazing work stretching from here to Team Ico to Metal Gear Solid. I keep my fingers crossed Sony hires them for Ratchet & Clank HD collection and/or Square hires them for a Kingdom Hearts HD collection.
