Activision: New CoD For 2012, Diablo III Pushed Back
Brace yourselves. This is going to come as a tremendous shock.
Activision boss Bobby Kotick has confirmed that a new Call of Duty is in the works and in addition, CEO Eric Hirshberg said the company is "hard at work on Elite 2.0 with several features to be included in the next Call of Duty release."
And in other likely unsurprising news, we learn that the long-awaited Diablo III has been delayed again. Rather than hitting it's expected "early 2012" date, Activision now says the game is set to arrive during the April-June period, which isn't too bad. It could be worse, you know. Here's Kotick's statement concerning the upcoming year:
"Our extraordinary employees around the world are focused on making 2012 another great year for our audience and stakeholders. Blizzard Entertainment plans to have multiple highly-anticipated titles to release, including Diablo 3, and Activision Publishing expects to release a new Call of Duty game. In addition, Activision Publishing expects to continue to grow Call of Duty Elite and launch Skylanders Giants."
There's also no word on the console version of Diablo III. Activision still hasn't made it official, but we've found enough job listings to make it plain. The only question that remains is the most important one: when? As for the new CoD, nobody is surprised. Nobody.

im really looking forward to see what project iron wolf has install for us.
i really hope its like BO, i dont think it will be a sequel, treyarch dont seem to be fond of those types of things, and considering how BO ended.
whatever it is i hope it takes the more normal story route of BO and less like MW3!
BO is by far my favourite COD game because it has the action sequences the series is known for, without making it feel like a stupid michael bay film!
cough MW3.......
