Rockstar: We'll Start Talking About GTAV "In A Few Months"

It's arguably the biggest release of 2012 and long-time fans only have one question: when?

Rumors regarding the Grand Theft Auto V launch date have been swirling ever since the game was officially unveiled last year. Early evidence said the hotly anticipated title would arrive in May, but more recent evidence points towards a fall release date. Besides, with Max Payne 3 now scheduled for May, it's unlikely that Take-Two would launch GTAV in the same month. That's what analysts call "cannibalization."

Rockstar hasn't made anything official yet, either, but they answered the popular question in a new Q&A at the developer's blog:

"Right now, we are very hard at work on the game and are excited as well to show and tell you more as development progresses - expect that we'll be talking much more about GTAV starting at some point in a few months’ time."

Feel free to interpret that any way you wish; personally, I'd like to think the information and details will start to flow in April and May, with a slated September/October release window. Also, make sure to read up on Rockstar's Max Payne 3 info; they address questions that involve the all-important shooting mechanics, for instance.

My alltime favorite gta radio stations are two: The totally over the top, german drug popping techno DJ in GTA:SA, and the talk radio with those two sports fishers in VC Stories (psp). I laughed out loud *every* time I heard those two.

This definitely means release late autumn. My pulse is increasing just by thinking about it. And here I was thinking that gta4 killed the gta-fan in me. Oh how wrong I was, and oh how I love it. GTA FTW!!!

I've just recently got back to my GTA IV game, I wasn't really impressed when I first started playing, but now that I've gone back to it, I'm completely hooked on it. Definately not getting the Liberty City Minute trophy on this play-through, I'm too easily distracted!

Looking forward to the huge map in V, though learning the ins and outs of the map is usually the hardest part of them for me.

Big fan of the radio stations, but I think it would be awesome if they made some major improvements to it. For example, they could stream updated content to you so you're not listening to the same 2 hour loop of content on each station.

Internet streaming of the radio would be cool if they constantly updated the playlist and dialogue. Though I'm sure people without internet connections would not be happy.

Yea, great idea! Or when ever you're in a car it will allow you to play your music from your HDD.

Im so sick of the GTA series. To me, I think its senseless. This is coming from a person that has served time for the same things that this game promotes. Its not fun at all when most the things in this game, I use to do in real life. Now, Im just a regular dude trying to get some good gaming on. Game on folks.
