Darksiders II: Ride Into Otherworldly Battle On June 26
See Full ImageIf you read our Darksiders II preview, you know that developer Vigil Games is pulling out all the stops in this sequel.
They're in the process of creating a game that seems more like an action/RPG than a straight-up action extravaganza...and we love that. And now we finally have a solidified release date: June 26.
In addition, THQ revealed that GameStop will receive the Death Rides pack as a pre-order incentive; this extra piece of content includes multiple side-quests set in the Maker's Realm and Dead Plains. If you'd rather give Best Buy your deposit, you'll get the Angels of Death pack, which boasts angelic armor and a few extra scythes. Those who pre-order at Amazon will receive the Deadly Despair pack, which gives Death's horse, Despair, a helpful speed boost.
Darksiders II has a different protagonist; in the first game, we played as one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, War. In the sequel, we'll play as Death, who is a bit more agile. He's out to clear War's name and in the process, he's gonna beat on some nasty demons. THQ could really use a great game that sells well; here's hoping this sequel is a winner.

i remember last year they said there releasing the game with the wiiU, and they refused to release the wiiU version later so all versions will be released at the same time.
