The Journey Begins On March 13

It's the news we've been waiting for: a finalized launch date for Thatgamecompany's highly anticipated downloadable adventure, Journey.

In a post at the PlayStation Blog, studio boss Jenova Chen confirmed that development is complete and the new title will arrive on the PlayStation Store in North America on March 13 (a day later for European gamers). It will hold a price tag of $14.99.

Three years ago, Flower helped kick off the Spring Fever sale on the PSN and now, it'll be Journey's turn. As for Chen and Co., they always strive to produce something new and innovative, something we "have never felt before." And in their latest, the player will awake in a huge desert and must find his way to a far-off mountaintop. In your way are plenty of obstacles and as you travel, you'll have to learn a great deal; i.e., "who you are, what this place is, and what your purpose is." You might meet a stranger along the way and because you speak different languages, you'll have to communicate differently.

It all sounds awfully intriguing and we can't wait to give it a try.
