Spec Ops: The Line Misses The Spring, Now Set For Summer
Spec Ops: The LineIt's never good news when a game is delayed for a second time, but maybe this new date will be written in stone.
Originally, Spec Ops: the Line was due out late last year, but eventually got delayed until spring 2012. Now, it won't hit the estimated spring release date, either, as 2K Games has confirmed that their military tactical shooter won't hit store shelves until June 26 in North America (three days later internationally).
Unfortunately, we don't have any reasons for the delay, but 2K did reveal that anybody who pre-orders the game at participating retailers will be automatically upgraded to the Premium Edition, which features some multiplayer bonuses: twice the amount of EXP earned during the first week of play, and the AK-47 and Officer Class at rank one. Oh, and the special edition also includes the FUBAR Pack, which boasts exclusive accessories...we just don't know what they are yet.
Here's hoping Spec Ops: The Line doesn't suffer any more delays.

reading the previews online shows how different, and shock and horror innovative it is!
i mean a shooter, a military shooter at that having a story!?
and one the player can shape and change?
IMPOSSIBLE!
FINALLY we get a military shooter thats NOT a COD wannabe!
i for on could not be happier!

Geez we do have piles and piles of shooters so a delay for another shooter is umm yawn..............fell asleep.
