Borderlands 2 Invites You To Roam On September 18
If you enjoyed the free-roaming FPS with all sorts of incentive to play with your buddies, you'll have to circle a certain date on your calendar.
Today, 2K Games has confirmed that the highly anticipated Borderlands 2, in development at Gearbox Software, will launch for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on September 18 in the US. UK gamers will get it three days later on September 21.
And as you might expect, there will be pre-order bonuses. Dropping your deposit on this sequel will net you the Gearbox gunpack, which features starter golden guns, plus a golden key that unlocks a special chest in the city of Sanctuary. There's even a Vault Hunter's Relic, which boosts a player's loot-finding capabilities.
It's one of the first big games to grace the fall period (even if it's technically right at the end of summer), and we expect more titles to get jammed into the October/November window as well. Therefore, September 18 could be just right...plan on getting it?

But apparently they couldn't get decent frame rates with all the content, so one developer suggested making it comic like and then it won GOTY and that developer wrote on a piece of printer paper "I told you so" and hung it from his desk, it was pretty funny to see. But apparently most of the team wanted it real, and didn't think it would do nearly as well with a comic style.
Anyways this is longer then it should of been lol, but the youtube vid is pretty cool, showing what it could of been.
I absolutely love the comic theme, and i hope it's the number one co-op of the year

I just hope they decide to store character information serverside (or on a "Cloud" as they like to call it these days) as opposed to storing it locally. There was a huge problem with cheaters and hackers in borderlands and it completely ruined the pickup game co-op play.

i absolutely hated borderlands!
partly because its exactly like far cry 2, EVERYTHINGS trying to kill you!
and as if thats not enough, unlike far cry 2, its not kill those enemies and your ok.
borderlands you kill 1000 enemies, and poof, magic, 1000 enemies just magically spawn!
so freaking infuriating especially when your on a fetch mission, and you cant complete the mission because every time you go to search for your item a enemy attacks you.
ok you want me to search this crate for a item i need?
no problem!
you start searching, a enemy attacks you and you get booted out.
so you kill it, resume searching and oh another enemies attacking me.
so you say f*ck it, and run around in a 20KM radias killing everything that moves.
ok thats everything.
goes back to crate, opens it...... OH NOT AGAIN!
if i had a nickel for every time i screamed DO YOU WANT ME TO DO THE OBJECTIVE, OR KILL A BAZILLION ENEMIES? I CAN ONLY DO ONE!
id be a multitrillionare by now!
HATE it when games do that!
ask you to complete a task, but then make it nigh on impossible because your forced to spend your whole time defending yourself!
not to mention how god dam buggy it was!
5 game saves i had corrupted on me!
FIVE!!!!!!!
thats gotta be a world record!
then when i contacted tech support they said its because of my ps3, and refused to do anything about it.
brilliant customer support there!
shame really because it does look really cool, and i love open world loot games!
and the co-op is so much fun, the weapons are so creative, and i love the cell shaded graphics!
ah who am i kidding of course ill get it!
sigh, i never learn.........
