Kojima Comments On Meaning Of Project Ogre Title

Now, the hardcore Kojima followers have discussed the possible meaning of that title for months and months. Finally, the man himself has decided to comment on the meaning of the "Ogre" part; or as it's read in Japanese, "Oni."
According to Andriasang citing Kojima's Twitter page, "Oni" should be understood literally. The actual translation doesn't have to be ogre, though; it could also be demon or devil. However, Kojima didn't elaborate further so this is the only information we've got at this point. So we don't know if demons will be part of the subject matter, of we actually are in control of an "Oni."
That being said, we're pretty sure it has absolutely nothing to do with the game, Oni, which released early on in the PS2's life cycle. How many of you remember it? It wasn't bad.

But I thought we saw screenshots of a war-like scenario. The two ideas don't seem to gel, unless the screenshots were for the MGS that was sort of unofficially announced the other day and this remains something completely separate from that. Or maybe your main character is like Dog Soldiers and can transform and just go bonkers with all sorts of bizarro skills.
I have no idea what to think anymore. Just give me the ZOE collection and info and stop with the teasing. I MUST KNOW!
P.S. WAIT!!!! It's something to do with Castlevania, isn't it?

Geobaldi is correct, it's a Bungie/Rockstart title.
A little info on Oni.....
Oni was about a dark future, an uncertain past & nobody left to trust.
The story's about Konoko who's an elite "Crimes Task Force" agent fighting the evil syndicate but things aren't always what they seem.
She's haunted by unknown demons of her past & the truth threatens to send her over the edge.
But Konoko aims to master a hybrid of hand-to-hand combat & cutting edge weaponry to free herself of all the evils that's surrounding her.

There's no point in guessing as it's a new IP, I'd just like to see him try a new genre/setting, bring some magic to that.

eh, at least hes working on something thats not MGS!
funny how he keeps saying he wanted to kill off the series years ago, but thats all he really works on.
as much as i love MGS, its time for something different!

Anyway , i don t know about you but when i hear oni , i immediately think about onimusha .
So rare to have a game series where all the games are pretty much as fun as all the others .Really wish they would make another one already .
