Mass Effect 3 Live Action Trailer: Fighting The Good Fight

Live action trailers are hot these days. They're starting to get more attention than regular ol' trailers, for better or for worse.

The latest that first hit YouTube later "debuted" during AMC's adaptation of "The Walking Dead," and RPG fans are gonna be intrigued. Well, provided you enjoy such artistic promotions for a video game.

It's the Mass Effect 3 Fight Trailer and it's...intriguing. It'll be interesting to see how the long-time franchise fans respond to this, and whether or not they'd rather just have more gameplay. Then again, let's not forget that BioWare has always been big on storyline, plot, and great characters, so such trailers probably fit the bill.

I won't comment just because I'm not a huge fan of the series in question, and I reserve judgment when it comes to promotional pieces. They're just so subjective, and I know how defensive certain fans can get. ;)

Break the Cycle.

Damnit, why can't they make a fitting trailer called 'Break the Cycle' =[

Trailer looked great until the "better with Kinect" and 360 logo showed up.

That didn't really do it for me, I don't think Live Action trailers have any place speaking for games.

Somehow I immediately felt that last sentence were directed at me, Ben. :D

9 days left and I can begin to return to my sane self again!

makes you wonder at time if all the expense going into these things is really worth it.
yea you need to advertise your game, but things like this are not advertisement there for getting people excited who already know everything about the game.
basically preaching to the converted.
would of been much better off putting the funding poured into this onto some posters for the bus station.
one thing im really surprised to see changed.
we use to see lots of posters all over the shops and local areas months before release a few years ago.
i remember when MW2 was coming out you could not take 1 step out of the house without seeing posters for it!
now though, only game advertisement you see is on the big screen or on your home screen.

I'll be picking this up for my PC - loved the last one - also very happy there's an action only mode that cuts down on the rpg stuff

i love this game but if someone needs to cut down on the rpg stuff in this game thats pretty sad. The game is already action heavy since ME2, don't know many who consider it to be super heavy on the rpg side

I am fine with any type of advertising. I thought it was great and the wife liked it. I really don't think ME3 needs to advertise though. For the 5 people on the planet that don't know what ME is, this type of advertising will help maybe get a sale from them.

KMart is having a great deal right now. Preorder ME3 and get 5% off, $1 shipping and a $20 gaming coupon good for you next game!! The only problem is that you have to wait until 3/8/12 to get ME3 :( That is a total bummer. But I can wait as it will give me time to play Motorstorm RC for a couple of days! I will be using that $20 gaming coupon on FFXIII-2. So I am very happy waiting a few extra days for pure gaming bliss!
