Quantum Conundrum: Bend The Laws Of Physics This Summer
Know what's better than the uber-vague "TBA 2012" launch window? A "Summer 2012" launch window.
No, we still don't have an exact date but at least it's narrowed down. As revealed at the Square Enix Members site, Airtight Games' Quantum Conundrum is now slated to arrive this summer on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, and PC digital services.
Featuring a concept and design by former Valve staffer Kim Swift, this new puzzle-based adventure involves Professor Quadwrangle's crazy mansion where the rules of physics take a backseat to creativity and imagination. Only the Inter-Dimensional Shift Device can help you fiddle with those rules and allow you to advance; maybe turning everything "fluffy" will be the answer. It's a great idea and certainly reminds us of the Portal games, which we absolutely love.
We just hope Quantum Conundrum gets enough attention. These days, lesser-budget titles - especially puzzle-based ones - don't exactly burn up the sales charts. But hey, Portal fans should be intrigued, and unless we miss our guess, that's a big group.
