Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time Sneaks Onto Shelves This Fall

Who's ready for the return of Sly Cooper? Yeah, we know you've been waiting a while but have no fear...the mischievous blue raccoon swings into action later this year.

According to GameSpot, developer Sanzaru Games has revealed that the new adventure, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, will launch exclusively on the PlayStation 3 this fall.

Prior to this news, we only had a vague "TBA 2012" release window. And although Sucker Punch isn't responsible for this new entry, Sanzaru isn't entirely unfamiliar with the series; they helped with the Sly Collection that released back in 2010, and also produced the PS2 title, Secret Agent Clank. Remember, that Collection features high-def re-imaginings of the first three games- Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, and we say it's well worth a look.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is a long-awaited title and one platformer fans should really enjoy. Don't get a lot of pure platformers these days.

i think i will pick this up if it reviews decent! liked the old games a lot!

That's awesome news! I played Sly 2 and 3 when I was younger, then picked up the collection when it came out and loved all of the Sly games. Hopefully Sanzaru doesn't disappoint and makes another awesome adventure for us Sly fans! This fall is already looking like it's going to thin out my wallet quite a bit.

Day friggin' 1! Sanzaru Games sound very enthusiastic about this game. Plus, they're in contact with Sucker Punch for advice.

From what I've seen in the last demo, this game looks amazing. I have faith Sanzaru will do justice to the series.
