Ratchet & Clank: The Latest To Earn A High-Def Collection?
First they toss up a listing for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and now they leak something else...maybe Amazon France should get their act together.
Still, more early news for us, right? According to Game Informer citing the French branch of the online retailer, a Ratchet & Clank HD Collection will arrive in stores (in Europe, obviously) on May 16.
It wouldn't be too surprising, as we've already seen multiple high-definition collections this generation, including God of War, Sly Cooper, Tomb Raider, Jak & Daxter, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, and Metal Gear Solid. Insomniac's award-winning franchise certainly deserves such a nod, don't you think? Chances are, this will include the first three R&C adventures from the PS2 era (even though there were more than three): Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal.
Last year's Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One wasn't exactly what the hardcore fans wanted as it was based on a different design. The last "true" R&C title was 2009's A Crack in Time and we've been hoping the series will return to its single-player, linear roots. In the meantime, though, a nice HD Collection would make plenty of fans happy...

I doubt 'Ratchet: Deadlocked' will be included in the collection. 'Jak X Racing' wasn't included in the 'Jak and Daxter' HD Collection. I guess four games just wouldn't work too well.
Still, that inconvenience could lead to a Volume 2 HD Collection with 'Ratchet: Deadlocked, Size Matters, and Secret Agent Clnak'! Just keep hoping.
Wow, rambled. Sorry. Yes! Want, want, want!

Same goes for anyone asking for a 'Fatal Frame' HD Collection. Nintendo owns that IP too. It's a shame because those two series would be great for HD remasterings.

They would have to bundle 'Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain', 'Dark Mirror', and 'Logan’s Shadow' together, considering those are the only games in the series released/ported for the PS2.

theres NOTHING in the world i want more then a R&C HD remake!
NOTHING!
especially now that insomniac has gone down the sh*tter and signed with EAP, and they have already said theve left resistance so im worried they have left R&C as well.
leaving one of the best franchises ever seen on any platform in the condition all for one did would be the biggest injustice the world has ever seen!
if they are going to do it though i hope they include gladiator.
that was such a awesome game, yea it was different, but it still kicked a$$!
in fact id go so far as to say it was the 2nd best in the series!
up your arsenal was and always will be the best R&C game, and one of the best games ever made!
id love to see the PSP games remade in a separate collection maybe, or together whatever.
simply said i cant get enough of lovely lombax goodness!

I hope they throw in Deadlocked as well, it featured sufficient multiplayer mechanics for online multi-player head to head fun. An HD version of that would be nice.
