2012 PSN Gamers' Choice Awards: The Now-Discounted Winners

The winners have been announced and it's time to grab the victors at a discount.

The votes have been tallied in this year's PSN Gamers' Choice Awards; this year, there were six new categories - bringing the total to ten - and Network users were able to vote for their favorite downloadable title in each section. All the games involved "were some of the highest and most user-ranked games released in 2011" and according to the update at the PlayStation Blog, there was an "incredible turnout" of voters this year.

And here are the winners:

Best PSN Exclusive: inFAMOUS Festival of Blood (PS3)

Best PSN Game: Resident Evil 4 (PS3)

Best PSN Game Playable Online: Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition (PS3)

Best PS3 Full Game: Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood (PS3)

Best PlayStation Move Game: Dungeon Hunter: Alliance (PS3)

Best 3D Game: God of War: Origins Collection (PS3)

Best PlayStation Classic: Chrono Trigger (PS3/PSP)

Best Mini Game: Angry Birds (PS3/PSP)

Best PSP Game: DISSIDIA 012 [duodecim] FINAL FANTASY (PSP)

PlayStation Community Award – Best Indie: LIMBO (PS3)

Congrats to all the winning games! And as you may or may not know, all the victors will receive a 30% discount for one week, so grab 'em while they're hot. If you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you get a substantial 50% discount. By the way, Limbo is a must.

I got power user since the site converted and added the commenting system. I think it was added back in Jan 2008.

Wow... It's been a long time.

It wouldn't let me vote on that one either. And that disappointed me as I thought Dungeon Defenders deserved to win that category. Nothing really against Limbo, but a game with 3-5 hours of gameplay versus one with hundreds is a no brainer to me.

Dungeon Defenders should have one in at least one category.

Gonna DL Infamous :FoB and Limbo. I also want GOW:OC but I think I'll wait for the physical copy to drop to save HDD space.

Seriously, Tactics Ogre is easily one of the best games ever made. FF Tactics was such an obvious rip-off it's ridiculous.

With no sarcasm/joke indicator, I'm not sure if you know that the two games were made by the same person or not. Kinda tough to rip off oneself.

I think the whole thing was kind of fixed, really... I mean, in Best PS3FullGame, they had both Assassin's Creed II AND Brotherhood and the best PSP one made no sense, Duodecim pretty much had 2/3 chance of winning, they had the full game and prologues as a choice, it didn't make much sense for them to throw in pretty much a super demo as a whole game by itself. Though I really don't mind that Chrono Trigger won (in fact, I voted for it), it's technically not a PS1 classic, it's an SNES classic... Just a LOT of the stuff offered was pretty one sided or unfair in some way..

I voted, though a bit reluctantly in some of their final choices.
Hell, it's just me but I have no interest in RPG's or fighters.
Or in in Angry Birds either, so I would've picked Urbanax(yes I'm addicted, so sue me) had it been there, before I would've ever picked AB

And I already have RE4, AC:B, & GOW:O on discs, plus inFamous:FOB D/L'ed, but none of the others really pull on my gaming strings, except for Limbo. So I'll probably get that one.

I'm seriously tempted to pick up RE4 but that's the only game i would get because i already own chrono trigger, limbo and AC:B everything else i'm not really interested in.
