What Trophies Are You Most Proud Of?

Trophies and Achievements are one of this generation's most significant new features, and one that will likely endure for quite a while.

Some don't care at all but others are definite Trophy fiends. And it's no secret that a great many Trophies are extremely difficult to obtain; they may take a huge amount of time, or a huge amount of skill...or, more often than not, both.

So of all the games you've played over the past five years, which Trophies/Achievements do you most treasure? Which are the ones that made you go, "Damn, I can't believe I actually got it!" Personally, I've never gotten into the whole Trophy craze, primarily because I have a small pet peeve when it comes to such forms of bite-size instant gratification. There's just something about these Trophies that makes me feel a little too much like a subject in a Pavlov experiment...

But even so, when it comes to games that really grab me, I have to admit I've glanced at the Trophy lists, just to see what I might have to do to obtain that always-elusive Platinum. See, I don't have any (although I would if there were Plats awarded only for single-player accomplishments), and I keep wondering if I'll ever get one. Maybe I'll get the one for Journey; it doesn't seem too tough. Or, if I decide to put in enough time, the Platinum for FFXIII-2. But I doubt it. Still, I know I have a few pretty cool Trophies; what are yours?

wow you have both?! i just beat dark souls the other day, and thought i might be somewhat close to the plat, 48%... and yea there's no way i can get the plat after seeing what else i need to do... damn you're impressive ;)
i don't have any plats but I would definitely be the most proud of demon souls or dark souls

Final Fantasy XIII & XIII-2... It's Final Fantasy has to be done... Other than that I'm pretty content at level 14 with 1'500 trophies. I think eventualkly though it loses it's novelty. I'm double anyone on my friends list for trophies at the moment, maybe I just need more competition XD

FFXIII was my first platinum. It was also one of the easiest on my list. It rewards grinders. Not skill. If you can bash the skull of a big Adamantoise, or whatever the toughest one is, over and over with good time, you'll get it in no time... *yawn*

I only have three platinum trophies so far: Assassin's Creed II, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, and God of War: Chains of Olympus. I'm proud of all of them, but the one I'll be proudest of is one that I'm still working on. The platinum trophy for Heavy Rain. I just need to see all the endings and I have it. Now to get my copy of the game back from my friend (or probably just buy a new one).

I've got lots of games that I want to rid out of my trophy list, such as demos I didn't like that actually gave me 1 or 2 trophies. Or since I'm a collector, I also play a sample of every game that I buy & I've gotten 1 or 2 trophies that way too. But if I decide I don't like the game, then it will forever sit on the shelf in my collection.

So my trophy list looks like a bunch of games that I've started, but always wimped out on.

Anyway, I just want my trophy list to really show for just those games I felt were worth playing.

I don't even remember what my level is... I think 11? If I didn't have PS+ My trophies would never be updated to my profile lol.

I have no platinums and the games that are near completion are only like that because they are kickass games, and I played then a ton.

I'm most proud of my MGS2 platinum, its far from being my favorite MGS game, but the platinum is a real challenge.

Yeah, the VR missions are definitely the hardest part, but they seemed alot harder in the ps2 version.

I don't know if I am proud or ashamed of my FF-XIII platinum. It did give me an immense feeling of satisfaction when I got it but in the end I don't think it was worth it....those are countless hours of farming turtles that I will never get back.

Only proof I have is my word, but I'm proud of beating Njnja Gaiden for Xbox on very hard as well as being able to beat almost any fighting game on the hardest difficulty. I found it very strange that on very easy in SFIV I would get my ass handed to me. When I changed to very hard I was God. I guess it's the timing. Seriously, it's one of the weirdest things I've experienced as a gamer. Oh, MGS2 beaten thoroughly on PS2 and 100% in every GT game so far (still working on 5). The sad thing is that I could probably do none of this anymore. Don't really have the time to now. Damn growing up and aging *grumble grumble*.

If you play them on the hardest difficulty, what were you doing on very easy? :P

It is a fact that Capcom has had a history of having their difficulty levels glitched. I believe I recall a specific version of Street Fighter II on the SNES that was more difficult on "Very Easy" than "Very Hard".

I love trophies!

My proudest trophy.. FFXIII... i donno how many turtles i farmed..., but i did it. 110 hours.. i was so proud of myself.

i also got the plat for Dragon Age: Origin, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas.
All took me about 100 hours to get the plats.... it was fun to do though.. love those games.. except the bugs in FO3 NV drove me nuts

Assassin's creed 2, was actually not that difficult to plat... a lot easier than brotherhood and revelation.. as I don't do multiplayer..

resident evil 5 was kinda hard to get...

the easiest one i got was probably GOW Chain of Olympus.. must of died 1000 times though.. ready to throw my controller..

and last but not least. if anyone can believe.. harry potter lego 1-4. played w/ a friend until we found all the people in the game!

I AM HOPING TO get the plat for FFXIII-2.. not sure if i got the patience this time around..

Probably my Fallout 3 Platinum. Dealing with all the freezings and still being sane after experiencing such horror, I would have to say it was the best trophy I ever gotten.

Mirror's Edge, Assassin's Creed 2 and Revelations. Uncharted 1 and 2. Dragon Age Origins, Duke Nukem Forever, God of War 3, Killzone 3, Borderlands(that game was so long). Heavy Rain, Resident Evil 5, Enslaved, Dead Space. All of these games I have platinums in.

Reason behind so many trophies is because, I don't like a game unfinished. If I haven't done everything in the game then I shouldn't get rid of the game space on my HDD.

The ones I'm proud of aren't necessarily the time sink ones, but the ones that took a whole lot of skill. I have 70 plats at the moment, but the ones I'm most proud of are:

Vanquish: The challenges in this game are insane. This game is held in high regards as being one of the hardest to plat.

Wipeout HD: The Beat Zico trophy and Zone Zeuss trophies were quite hard to beat. In some ways I had more trouble with this than Wipeout, but I'm still unsure as to which was harder or not.

Street Fighter 4: The trials in this game were pretty hard. It took quite precise timing to pull them off and there are numerous amounts of them as well.

Mirror's Edge: The time trials and speedruns were difficult, but rewarding. Finding different kinds of jumps you could pull off to shave some seconds was really rewarding.

I do have some RPG plats that took a whole lot of time, like FFXIII, both Fallouts, both Souls games, but those ones were mostly not about skill and just about grinding so I'm not particularly "proud" of them.

Oblivion doesn't have trophies. If it did, I'd probably have a platinum in it.

I'm equally ambivalent to all of my trophies.

I'm probably most proud that I have all of the trophies in AC2 but one, but have no need to get that trophy just so I'd have another platinum. I tried for it, but it wasn't worth doing the same thing again and again ad nauseam until I got lucky.

I just platinumed FF13-2 yesterday, with one hit 99999 damage, 160 fragment, max out all roles and ability, all 100% map fragment, all monster bestiary fragment, 7777 coin fragment, earn 10000 casino coins, all 8 paradox endings and secret ending, beat final boss with 5 stars, beat Raspatil on normal mode, beat Ochu, Immortal, Long Gui and Yomi, 100 continuous great rate on Mog Clock, 10000 chocobo steps...a hell lot of work.

other plat trophies I got: ICO/SOTC HD version, MGS2/3/Peace Walker HD version, Heavy Rain, GOW1/2 HD combo, GOW3, Dante's Inferno, I am considering plat Uncharted 2 and 3 but not sure about the online part tho.....

Beside that, with all the platinum trophies I got, I would say the Platinum trophy of Demon's Souls are the most time consuming and hard earned, I spent 200 hours + on platinum it especially with the obtain all special weapon trophie, some material are just too rare to obtain and I have to farm endless hours to get it.... so yea I will say FF13-2 and Demon's Platinum trophy are the proudest ones I got, just based on the massive amount of hours you need to invest in.

For me it would have to be my Uncharted 2 plat because it was my first platnium trophy, and my Dead Space 2 plat, cause beating that game on hard core was one of the most stressful moments in gaming I have ever had.

For me its probably the "play" trophy from Little big Planet. The one that you have to complete all levels without dying with the exception of the levels that don't end until you die.

A few levels seemed damn near impossible but I eventually got it.

definitely the plat for GOW3, that was a f*cking bitch!
finishing it on the hardest difficulty was really hard, but finishing the whole lavarynth without getting hit ONCE drove me insane!
the plat for uncharted was pretty hard too, allot harder then 2 i found.

I do want to get me just one platinum though, just to have one. Been thinking about Borderlands - that one supposedly is fairly easy to get.

I don't really hold any specific trophy up in high regards, but the platinum for MAG is the only one I can think of that really felt satisfying when I got it.

I know I'll get a ton of thumbs down but whatever, the one I felt the least amount of satisfaction with was the Uncharted platinum, just way to easy to get.

Probably the GT-R Official Record from GT5. "Achieve a time of 7'29.03 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a Nissan GT-R '07. The record must be achieved in a Time Trial in the Arcade mode version of the car with tires of Sports Hard grade or lower equipped." It was amusing because it was always #1 on my "rarest trophy" list until my Shift 2 Unleashed platinum took that place. I got a kick out of it because all these GT5 guys claim to be such hardcore driving sim' fans, yet here was an only moderately challenging trophy that almost none of them got. That made me chuckle :)

I usually play the game for the enjoyment and pick up trophies along the way. I'll do a 2nd playthrough if a Platinum is feasible (GOW3, Uncharted Series), but otherwise I'm not too concerned with trophies (White Knight Chronicles, Shooters).

I am a definite trophy hunter. Just broke level 13 when I beat Mass Effect 2. I have 7 platinums and not sure what my next platinum attempt will be. My proudest platinum was SplatterHouse! OH man was that difficult! :)

When I did 99,999 damage in ff13-2. I was like holy ****, I didn't know I could do that. Other than that I don't care about trophies too much, but I believe it naturally adds more replay value to your games. I have zero plats and I do believe it might stay that way.

Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3. Collecting ALL dog tags on EACH difficulty for Metal Gear Solid 2 was a bit difficult (granted the stealth suit and brown wig made it a breeze). Metla Gear Sold 3 was easier but still annoying collecting ALL of the animals/plants/kerotans/face paint/stealth camo/etc.

Arkham Asylum and Arkham City plats make me happy too. Some of the challenge rooms are ridiculously hard.

Also, Sonic 4: Episode 1's "Untouchable" trophy. Completing all the bosses WITHOUT taking damage... Ugh, lost a controller on that one.

Oh yeah, before I forget: Megaman 10 "Mr. Perfect" trophy... if you know the requirements then you're most likely shaking your head at me now and I don't blame you.

A good one is Battlefield 2 the demolition trophy with out cheating is a hard one to get, I had 19 plats also proud of my first one Residen evil 5, besides I am always have great time reading news on dayly basis in this site, The best place I ever been. The best comunity on the net. PSN RINOBLACK

I like trophies. Makes games better, plain and simple. I don't really see the need to brag about them though. They add fun for me, that's about it.

My proudest should be Mirrors Edge platinum, sometimes I go back to time trials just to remember how painfull it was to beat them and Arkham City platinum, I absolutely enjoyed every second I spend in that game.

Will start working on Ghost of Sparta and when I get the platinum I will be proud of having every single trophy in every God of War game.

Its hard for me to pick one but I have to say Resistance 2 just because it was my very first platinum trophy. I had so a great feeling of accomplishment. :) Now I have 7 or 8...haha

Well, for me plats are not that much big of a deal, if I had more time gaming it could change. I find some on my list a pain, then I just move on and forget about it, sometimes I go back to a particular game and try my luck again.

The "My Brother is an Italian Plumber" trophy from Borderlands. Doesn't sound very complicated to get (kill an enemy by jumping on them) but it was a pain in the ass! Huge sense of accomplishment once I finally pulled that one off.

I got a platinum on a Wipeout HD race once, that was pretty satisfying. Honestly, it's fun when the little "ping!" sound happens and you see a little trophy and quasi-clever name for the trophy spring up, but it's no big deal. It's just sprinkles on the cake, nothing more.

Wow nice. I want to plat both of those games sometime in the near future as well. How hard are they to do? A better question actually is how much grinding do I have to do? I did too much grinding with the FFXIII plat so the idea if grinding really grinds my gears...

hmm... it more depends on your efficiency in time management and attention to detail in alchemy. It's not too tough, really, and it's possible to plat both in a single playthrough if you use a guide.

(I didn't so it took me 2 playthroughs for both games)

The only one that required any grinding on my part was the rich ending trophies. For totori you have to have 500k and for Rorona you need 1 mil. (Money is about twice as easy to get in Rorona, so their difficulties are pretty equal) It would be easier to make money as you go in the final years by farming the pricey mats as you go. But if you're like me, I didn't manage time well, so I had to use the Spring Liquid trick. (Easy to figure out on your own and even easier if you read about it) It's incredibly time efficient as you can get all your money in a month of game-time. But you're very boringly going through menus using the spring liquids... which can be like 3 hours of extremely boring grinding.

But that's all the grinding necessary. It's super easy to level up to max level (which is needed for both games for your main character and Cory in Rorona and main character and Mimi in Totori) As long as you always keep Cory with you in Rorona and Mimi with you in Totori, at end game, you might only have to spend an extra half hour getting to max level. Not tough.

Anyways, if you do use a guide, make sure you go by their recommended dates for everything. I noticed some of their "suggestions" are actually pretty necessary. lol You don't need a guide to plat, but it will take you 2 playthroughs like it did for me. At the very least, you'll need a trophy list, if not a guide, because most of their trophies are "hidden". Which is super lame.

Anyways, yeah. Not tough. Just manage yourself as you go efficiently.

Thanks for the info! I think I'll sink my teeth into Totori today seeing as how I don't have much to do.

I really like how it's not about a grind but more of time management. Those are kinds of trophies I like because they demonstrate some actual cerebral thought with regards to micromanagement. An RPG trophy I'll be proud of once I get it.

I don't have a proudest trophy, but I did manage to get a dumb "accidental" one just the other night.

While playing the whole night & another 1/2 day of User Generated Missions in infamous 2, I accidentally hit the button to make a mission myself instead of doing someone else's mission that I had intended to do.
But once I realized my mistake, I backed out of it & boom...I got a trophy for that.
So now I've got a UG somewhere in inFamous 2, with exactly nothing that I did, in it

By all right's my trophy should've wound up being named the "Stupid, Tired & Extremely Inattentive" trophy.

7 platinums, i think the hardest was GOW3 (Poseidon took 60 minutes and Zeus 90 minutes to beat) and the longest was Just Cause 2 (85hrs, when i hit 60hrs i was bored but i wanted that platinum, hah).

Hmmm....trophies I'm most proud of?

As much as I don't want to say it, probably FF XIII. This is simply because it took me the longest (123 hours) and because I had to force myself to play through it twice because I wasn't thorough enough when searching for accessories and upgrading weapons the first time around...

No, wait....scrap that. GOW I and III were my pride and joy! :) I just remembered the Challenge of the Gods and playing No. III on the hard difficulty.

There was a whole lot of blood, sweat and tears that day.... :/

Most proud of my trophies in the NBA 2K series, particularly because I play online and I only play on Hall of Fame difficulty when I do actually play against the CPU.

I have quite a few trophies that make me think, damn I wouldn't have that one if it wasn't easy to obtain.

If I were younger, I could see myself as a trophy fiend, but I don't have the time or the fast responses that are sometimes necessary for them all.

The "trophy" that I am most proud of doesn't even have trohpy support, and that is Metal Gear Solid 4! I completed the boss level from the start and I am very proud.

Someone mentioned it already, but my avatar is probably my favorite one. Was the 13th person on the world to plat MAG and it was done before they nerfed the requirements. I put over 400 hours into it to get it. All in all I have 80 plats and almost 5000 trophies. Don't whore much anymore though. Mainly stick to games I enjoy playing. Latest Plat was BF3. MY PSN is DocBooch.
