Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection Shambles To PS3

Ready for some zombie action?

So far, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles have only been available on the Wii. But all that changes this June.

Capcom has confirmed that the Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection will hit North American and European PS3s this June. It'll only be available as a digital download title, but it'll feature "remastered versions" of the aforementioned games. And if you'd rather wait and grab one or the other separately, each new version will have a place on the PlayStation Store. Lastly, as you might expect, the Collection boasts Move support and Trophies.

We all need some zombie slayin' fun, especially because Resident Evil 6 won't be available until the fall. Of course, you can also get your fix later this month when Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City arrives (March 20).

In all honesty, what I reallyed wanted was the Resident Evil 1 remake on the Gamecube. It looked to be very atmospheric and faithful to the original. I got round to playing MGS: Twin Snakes recently and it lacked the tension and mystery of the original PS1 title.

But with all the RE remasters maybe the RE remake could be on the way? I'm not getting my hopes up but I'd be thrilled if so.

I bought a GC just to play the RE1 remake. It's the best remake I've seem to this day, Tomb Raider Anniversary being a very close second. If they released a RE1 Remake HD version for the PS3, I would still buy it, and play it again.
Now where the hell is my Onimusha HD Collection??? :)

Some speculate that the rights for RE Zero and REmake are shared with Nintendo, so I don't think its going to happen.

Played REmake and loved it, I think its the best installment in the franchise.

@berserk

Yes, and the use of pre-rendered backgrounds with real time character models are outstanding, and is the reason why it ages so well.

For those who haven't played it, I wouldn't wait for a HD remake too long, since the chances are slim, the original version still looks good today. If your a survival horror fan you must play that game.

Check out the video as it not only lists, but also shows some bits from all the games in the HD collection.

I feel this too. Australia is way behind aswell. It is not a good trend having so many big downloadable games only on psn.
