Ninja Gaiden 3 Dragon Sword For Move Is Downright Wacky
Maybe this is one accessory you'll want to keep out of sight...especially if people already think you're a little tapped in the head.
Ninja Gaiden III is coming very soon and apparently, there's an unknown special edition floating around out there. It was initially spotted at Canadian retailer Video Games Plus; as you can see, this bundle features the Dragon Sword add-on for PlayStation Move. Yup, that's a long bloody sword that can be attached to the Move controller, which can then be maniacally swung about. Make sure to give yourself some room.
We're not sure if this will only be available in Canada but it's pretty crazy. Tecmo Koei did confirm its existence to Joystiq, but it's "not 100% official." What that means is that it's probably not an official Tecmo product; i.e., possibly from a third-party. But either way, that sword is nuts. It suddenly makes us want NGIII very, very badly...
It also might make me want to move to Canada.

Most of the crap I bought led up to transitioning to my University. I thought, oh, I better load up on these sub-interesting games because they're so cheap and when school starts I'll have no money and I'll have them to keep me entertained. AS it turned out, it's not just not having money, but having very little free time. And the last thing I want to do with that time is spend it playing sub-interesting games. So for the next couple years, or so, or less, I'll only be able to make time for the hot "i really want to play that games." The burden of mediocrity back log stuff just aint working for me and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
That's the plan anyway ;)

Its so lame looking. THe blade doesn't even come out from the center. Really, it blows me away some of this stuff these guys come up with to try and get your money. The game is mature rated with TONS of blood. The toy looks like something for kids.. it just doesn't make any marketing sense. I suppose they're marketing it towards me, so I'm liberally mocking it hardcore as I assume I'm their intended customer...sorry, but stick with the sound tracks, maybe a cool figure, or a ninja suit, but leave the lame kids swords alone hehe

I can see someone wanting it as nothing more than a collectible. Maybe you get one for free? That would be cool.
Aside from that, it's definitely not worth purchasing for use on a home console, especially to be used in a game that is widely regarded as one of the hardest game franchises of all time.

to be honest i have not been hearing good things about this.
2 reviews are out for it so far and both gave it 7s but claiming its NOT a ninja gaiden game!
then the confirmation you can not sever limbs.
really!?
yea, this certainly is NOT a ninja gaiden game!
then i had the manager at EB ask me today if i really want to keep my preorder.
is said what its that bad is it?
oh you have no idea i was told.
sigh.
i was worried the departure of the series creator, and over half his team would destroy this!
looks like yet again i was spot on!

It's blind loyalty right now for me and my beloved Ninja Gaiden. I need to experience the 3rd one for myself to know for sure.
And if the game does in fact offend, I'll be sure to make the ME3 whiners look like scrubs when I take it to the streets of Tecmo's message boards.
I'm fine with FPS games being shoot first think later, but do not betray the ardent hardcore gamers who love NG for it's in depth game play. THis has been it's very identity. If Team Ninja wanted to make a more approachable ninja action game, they needed to make a different series altogether, or a spin-off. But do not offend the base who loyally follows the series.

Anyway, I've placed a great amount of faith in Team Ninja yesterday. I took a pile of 360 back log games I should've never had purchased to begin with (Fable, Pure, PoP etc) and traded them all in for my PS3 NG3 reserve. If the game does end up upsetting me alot I'll trade it right back for the MGS HD Collection I've been pining to collect.
Temjin: "Yeah, if any of those trade in for less than $2, let me know. I think I'd rather keep the game."
Employee: "Fable 2"
Temjin: "Nah, throw it with the rest of 'em, I'll NEVER play that"
true story =p
