No, Please God, Do NOT Do A Lollipop Chainsaw Movie
Yeah, that's just what this industry needs. A ditzy chainsaw-toting cheerleader ripping into a horde of zombies on the big screen.
For the record, I'm all in when it comes to the game. Oh, yes I am. I understand exactly what Grasshopper Manufacture and Kadokawa Games is going for; it's a tongue-in-cheek, over-the-top, never-meant-to-be-taken-seriously romp that could be the epitome of "guilty pleasure." Besides, long-time gamers and horror buffs understand the subtle homage that lies beneath; it's by no means mainstream.
But turning this into a movie, and it appears that is a possibility, is a horrendous idea. I mean, video games get zero respect from other "legitimate" entertainment venues. No, less than zero. Gaming is often mocked in those circles; trust me on that. And with the mainstream media fully intent on keeping games down by continually insinuating with its super "unbiased" reporting that games are only for children, a "Lollipop Chainsaw" movie will be just another nail in the coffin.
Nobody will get it; nobody will understand that it's a spoof, a joke; on the contrary, every ignorant idiot on the planet will emerge from such a movie going, "See, I knew all video games were sophomoric trash." That's not what we need right now. We need Journey to be turned into some thought-provoking indie film that sweeps up at Sundance. We need Quantic Dream and Hideo Kojima to team up on something that wins an Oscar. We're already at a colossal disadvantage; please stop giving more ammunition to a media and society that remains hell-bent on keeping video games mired in the past. Let's not go backwards.
End rant.

I believe we got a major change of perception about gaming ahead of us.
Remember that now, with gaming being part of every young persons life through their mobile phones and internet, all of a sudden EVERYONE has a relation to gaming. Add to that the maturity of the developers and the technical advancements, and we got a great combo. That will do wonders.
But Chainsaw Lollipop will not contribute to this at all, neither as a game or a movie. It will just hopefully be a babelicious fun time while we wait. :)

Kojima should make a movie After he develops ZOE3,Secret Project and MGS 5. Journey would make a interesting indie film Im sure the anti game crowd would trash the game and praise the movie.

The story, however, simply doesn't seem all that investing. I'm sure that someone in Hollywood could take up the mettle to provide an engaging experience (if they can do it with Battleship...), but it would be so juvenile and niche that no-one would watch it (unless it was advertised out the wazoo), and it would ultimately be a flat, unprofitable film. So what's the point?
WBIE just have to admit that none of their games would translate well to a film and either give up on the idea or make create a multiformat project from the outset.

Lots of games seem to get this "let's do a movie" treatment early but it all peters out so there isn't much to worry over.
