New Far Cry 3 Trailer Shows US, UK Pre-Order Bonuses
Far Cry 3Well, better call your local congressman, because the drug use in Far Cry 3 will turn us all into addicts.
...anyway. The latest trailer for the highly anticipated Far Cry 3 shows protagonist Jason Brody and the many hallucinatory temptations that will cross his path. There's also a fair amount of blood so obviously, the video is not designed for younger eyes.
Furthermore, at the end of the trailer, we learn about the GameStop pre-order incentive: the Monkey Business Pack, which features "four missions hosted by Hurk and his bomb-carrying monkeys" along with "two bonus ways to humiliate your friends." Bomb-carrying monkeys, huh? Well, sign us up for that. We've been missing monkeys in shooters ever since TimeSplitters disappeared.
Notice something different there? That's the UK trailer and our buddies across the pond have a different pre-order bonus: a free upgrade to the Lost Expeditions Edition of the game, which includes a couple bonus missions and a flare gun. No, not a real one; it's in the game.

Only thing is... I kinda miss that distinct dialect they spoke in Far Cry 2. It added to the atmosphere. But this will be good.

the fire spreading system, the weapon jamming, the buddy system, and of course last but not least the breaking bones and removing bullets to regain health system.
so far looks pretty good, but would look so much better if they brought those back!
whats with sequels these days and removing the best part of their predecessors?
i thought developers were suppose to say ok what were the things people loved about our previous game?

you actually cringed when you got shot because you knew in a few moments time you will be gritting your teeth as you watch your knife slice through your arm to retrieve the bullet.
cant believe they have removed it that was freaking awesome!

The only thing is, I'm seeing too much of Far Cry 2 in this trailer. Hopefully its nowhere near as repetitive and actually has a decent story this time (although I'm kind of doubtful of that at the moment).
