Max Payne 3 Multiplayer "Crews" Carry Over To GTAV
Now that's what we call cross-game goodness!
If you plan on picking up Grand Theft Auto V when it finally releases, you might want to consider grabbing Max Payne 3 first (it's set to launch in May).
According to what Rockstar Games co-founder and co-writer of GTAV Dan Houser told IGN, any "crews" you create and maintain in Max Payne 3's multiplayer will actually carry over to GTAV's multiplayer, thanks to the Social Club integration. Said Houser:
"Multiplayer is an ever-more important part of all our games moving forward. And by creating crews through Social Club, the crews that you create in Max Payne 3 will be ready and available for you to play in Grand Theft Auto V from day one. It's all part of our larger approach to make multiplayer deeper and richer than what's currently available, much more easily accessible to the newcomer and rewarding for the hardcore."
That's about all you'll hear concerning GTAV for now, though, as Houser said they "made a promise not to talk too much about forthcoming games until a little further down the track." However, just knowing that the Max Payne 3 and GTAV are linked in some capacity sorta makes us shiver with excitement. We can't be the only ones.

It's a very cool feature when you got regular buddies to go online with. In Skate we could have our own skate hall who we could design as we pleased with ramps and rails and stuff. And typically you team up with more or less the same guys in the next game too, so having a feature like this really makes a lot of sense.

I guess what you carry over to the next game is only "cosmetic", things like the name of your crew, your crew outfit, your own avatar perhaps, maybe some "trophies" to hang on the walls in your crew hangout, stuff like that (just brainstorming now of course).

Seems to be a sign of the times now with cross-game content creativity, both in single player and multi player gaming. Even across developer/publisher borders.
I really dig this!
