Square Enix Teases Secret Fantasy Title For "Summer 2012"
I'm actually afraid to guess.
Square Enix has opened a teaser site that features a one-minute video and the words, "Secret Title 2012 Summer." No idea what it could be, but Andriasang did some translating and we know the word "Crystal" is in there (obviously), and a few familiar Summon names (Odin, Titan, and Diablos).
Check it out and see if you can come up with some ideas.
The animations are being handled by Masaki Hirooka and Yusuke Naora and details should be revealed "soon." Now, let me see...usually, those summons are only in the realm of Final Fantasy. Odin and Titan are common; Diablos was in FFVIII. And for some reason, I'm getting a distinct Final Fantasy Tactics vibe from that artwork...so maybe it's a brand new Tactics title for the Vita.
That'd be something, wouldn't it? ...but I'm being way too optimistic again, aren't I? Yeah, I know.

i actually really enjoyed that game!
for once a game actually from $E that feels like it came from them!
either that or id love to see them do a more japanese type of skyrim.
a open world game but no dragons and fantasy crap like that, keep it rooted in realism and have a visceral in depth combat system.

More realism? This is EXACTLY what japanese devs are doing wrong right now! Realism is a western dev thing.
One of the things I loved the most about japanese gamers, is that it didn't matter how real it was, they just wanted to make something badass.
The creator of FF7:AC:
"We didn't set out to create something that was realistic, we just wanted to make it look really cool"

And really. How realistic is the mega blast from Bahamut's mouth?
I just loved Adven Children. When swords clashed it had a sound of sheek and people leaping around from building to building sounded & looked amazing.
It's why I'm a bit confused if it's going to delay Versus. That game reflects the Final Fantasy finnesse of Advent Children in the best possible manner.
No realism. Just good ol imagination making magic happen =)
