PS Plus April: Ghost Recon Beta, Free Games, Discounts

Free stuff and discounts. That's basically why you joined PlayStation Plus, right?

Then you should be pretty happy with what will greet you in April. Next month's Plus goodies have been outlined over at the PlayStation Blog; they include early access to a new beta and a couple free games.

If you're a Plus member, you can be the first to try Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier in April, which is great news. That one has serious potential. As for discounts, new releases Wheels of Destruction, House of the Dead 4, and the debut of the standalone Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City will all get marked down. Lastly, in addition to a few new Avatars, Shank 2, SHIFT 2: Unleashed, and the PS1 classic, Silent Hill, will all be free. So stock up.

Silent Hill might show its age but it's still worth playing in our estimation. Shank 2 is definitely worth a look and although we weren't big fans of SHIFT 2: Unleashed, it's still a full PS3 game for free...tough to beat that.

I need Episodes of Liberty City on PS3. Only reason I got it on 360 is b/c more people played the MP there.

Then get Shank 2 and Shift 2 for free..can't beat that. Get to pick up Silent Hill again since I can't find my copy of the original.

On top of that..Future Soldier beta!! Love me some betas and they said the MP is getting a lot of attention. I promise each month that goes by I love being a Plus member.

April is going to be a good month I'm looking forward to getting all those freebees. Shank 2 and silent hill I'm not to fond of shift 2 but since it's free I'll give it a try also.

Signed up for ps+ when it first came out and have just been waiting for more incentive to renew the service, the future soldier beta might be that incentive.

The original Silent Hill is still the best, in my opinion. At the very least, it's the most frightening.

I found SH2 way spookier, but I did play it first.

CVG will be giving away thousands of Ghost Recon beta keys on April 2. So those that have a PC that don't want to pay to get a key, you'll have your chance in a few days.
