Wild Rockstar Rumor Includes Read Dead Rebellion, Bully 2, More

We call it "wild," not necessarily due to its implausibility (which is significant), but to its crazy huge size and scope.

It seems a former Rockstar intern has leaked a whole mess of information concerning future projects for the developer, and this includes Grand Theft Auto V and sequels like Red Dead Rebellion, Wild Metal 2, and Bully 2. There's quite a hefty list of specifics, as you can see. The supposed former intern only goes by the name Brendan, and he claims to have interned at Rockstar for a year, and is currently a graphic designs major at Full Sail University.

Now, it's just a massive leak if true. He talks about the size of the GTAV map, and "confirms" that while Los Santos is the only city, it is actually broken up into three "provinces:" The Greater Naranja Area, Los Puerta, and Greater Los Santos. He also goes into great detail concerning the geography of each province, so either he really did see this stuff, or he's got a decent imagination. There's a lot more concerning the game, so read up. Then there's the mention of those upcoming sequels that are bound to turn heads, although we'd be surprised if all three really are in the works.

As the source states, though, there's a problem: They tried to find the "Brendan" at Full Sail University and if they got the right guy, his LinkedIn profile isn't supporting the timeline:

"I also found Brendan Bax's Linkedin page and found that this is more than likely not the Brendan who posted these details, because according to Mr Bax's resume, he has been working at ITT Technical Institute in Arnold, MO since March 2011. This obviously conflicts with the story that was given from the original Brendan."

So yeah, it could just be a very elaborate and creative hoax. We're also not convinced that Rockstar would give an intern such meaty information...but hey, who knows? We definitely want to hear more about a Red Dead follow-up; that has to happen.

A new red dead sounds sweet.
I loved to lasso then drag folk that tried to steal my horse around the countryside until they died & riding through a town with a dead body bouncing all over the place.

I wonder how many of these leaks are plants by the publisher ect..ya know..to create a buzz years in advance...don draper ??

A Bully sequel would be nice, I enjoyed that game. The controversy over on how it supposedly encouraged being a Bully was hilarious when you realized it was more about standing up against bullies.

It's highly likely the "source" in question gave them a bogus name. Which is what I'd imagine a "source" who leaked so much info would do.

The guy has a lot of info, some of it seems like what he says is possible or likely to be true but then I found some head scratchers as well. For example I totally don't see them implementing ways for the gamer to purchase farmland, crackhouses, etc. to sell drugs..yet..you never know.

I'd love a new Red Dead though..the first two are classics..

Oh I can *totally* see them implementing crackhouses for drug sales etc. It's surprising it's not already done in an earlier GTA. When I read it I actually thought "that's already done isn't it?". After all there's a lot of drug usage in the GTAs.

That is very true. I just think to actually have your own farmland to grow weed and a virtual crack house is just a bit much. Then again I'm thinking about the youngsters who will be playing it even though it'll be a mature title.

The main characters of GTA games have generally been anti drug (minus alcohol), I doubt that'll change with V.

I think you meant Red not Read. In any case, I would definitely get it, but I am still wondering about Agent.

Wow. Some of the stuff "Brendon" described sounds really awesome, and IMO would be awesome in GTAV. Some of it does seem a little bit of a reach, but I really liked the idea of having different generations of cars, picking up certain girlfriends when you need their particular services, then being able to get rid of them when you want.

A lot of it sounded like it could be legit, and only has me more excited about GTAV. Hopefully it will be released sooner rather than later. Holiday 2012 anybody??? I can always dream, right?

Red Dead Redemption was a great game that ruined itself with a wreck of an ending. I'll probably sit the sequel out in favor of AC III...

Eh?! The ending was one of the best things about it.

It completely ties up the story the ONLY way it can that's relative to the subject matter. A very well written ending in tune with classic westerns and is one of my favourite endings in game.

Shame you didn't enjoy it.

the other week we had a couple information "leaks" of people claiming to be former R* employees, they both released false info on GTA 5.
I tell you, reading their claims, it makes you feel like, "I could do this!".
Seeing people believing the stuff you just made up, seeing websites link to your post. Of course it's rewarding.

So the timing of this "leak" is very suspicious.
Especially if you look at the effort put into the ones last week.

So without actually reading the original source, I'm condemning this as fake.
