Naughty Dog Unveils Latest Map Pack For Uncharted 3

Still playing Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception online? If so, you'll be interested in the latest batch of downloadable content.

It's a new multiplayer map pack that delivers four new environments, and it'll cost you $9.99. The four maps are Oasis, Old Quarter, London Streets, and Graveyard, and you can grab 'em all for free if you're a Fortune Hunters Club member. The cost of being a member is $24.99, by the way, and gives you access to no less than 14 pieces of Uncharted 3 DLC.

Naughty Dog also said this map pack won't be the end of the extra content for the critically acclaimed title, as the team continues to listen to fan requests in the developer's forums. Stand up and be heard!

Saw this last night, really glad they're actually making new maps as opposed to remaking old ones, which while fun, I needed something new. Also heard MP trophies are returning which is awesome because those were and still to this day are a blast to chase on U2.

Looking forward to this release.

Now this is what I want to see. The MP needed new maps badly. The first two map packs kinda of made me feel like I had an advantage being that I played them all on Uncharted 2 a lot. Looking forward to these..although I wished they balanced the weapons out a bit more..

Speaking about the uncharted multiplayer, I got to the finale of a contest last week, for which I got flown over to los Angeles. With 15 other contestants we auditioned before several naughty dog employees and Nolan North and Emily Rose for the winning spot, which would earn you a day at naughty dog and a transformation to a multiplayer character :D. Unfortunately I didn't win the contest, but I still got the chance to meet up with Amy Hennig, Justin Richmond, Nolan North, Emily Rose and a lot of other awesome individuals, so that was enough win for me, apart from the free trip to los Angeles of course.
Anyway, totally off topic, but you'll be all to play with a friend of mine soon in the multiplayer :P
And as a beginning game designer, meeting the people from naughty dog was incredibly inspiring, they're such nice folk :)

That is all

Why is it that less and less companies give open source tools to create content for the games and release it for free? I certainly miss the good ol days on PC when you could download new maps and levels and mods from the community.

PS3 has had success with this business strategy as well. Take Little Big Planet for example. It was a smash hit because of the free content from the community. *shakes his head at the industry*

Call it a sense of entitlement if you want, but it's good for the industry and the consumers as well. The aforementioned game was a success because of it.

I apologize for the digression from the article, but the thought of Naughty Dog giving away "free content if you pay $24.99" sent me on a tangent :)

That was a very drone-like response. Did you read my post at all?

I lost interest in UC3 multiplayer.

ND is abysmally slow at fixing things.

I hope they wont drop support once The last of us comes out, cause i heard that one is not a multplayer title

The Last of Us should not even affect any Uncharted title. They are developed by two separate teams.
