Animator CV Lists GTAV With An October 2012 Launch Date
Most analysts believe we won't see Grand Theft Auto V until 2013. But maybe that isn't true, after all.
The latest rumor comes courtesy of WCCF Tech, which cites the CV of an animator who has GTAV on his list of projects. The point of very special interest? A release window.
The animator lists the game as one of his "shipped titles" and gives it a date of October 2012, but further information is lacking. Now, the CV is obviously legit and it's possible that he had initially been given that October date; it's also likely that the ship date has changed since that time. Right now, until Rockstar or Take-Two decides to come forward with an official date, all we can do is speculate. Personally, I just want to see a full unveiling of GTAV, which may or may not happen this month.
If the new GTA does manage to launch this year, that will really throw a hefty charge into the fall and holiday season.

Looking at Rockstar's history, their 2 major franchises (GTA and Red Dead) seem to have a habit of releasing early in the year, not later. This gives it plenty of breathing room with little competition, but the name GTA alone is enough to make every other publisher or developer delay their games a month or two, since GTA (like CoD) is all anyone will play for many weeks.

The Red Dead games both released in May, but only two games have been released of that series, so it's a little early to make assumptions of habits then.
What I'm getting at, is that, if looking at the actual habit of release dates in the GTA series, an October 2012 release date wouldn't really surprise me.

i mean seriously dont people want to keep their jobs any more?
not to mention stop themselves from being sued!
i dunno i just find it very hard to believe!
the dates a little awkward too, so so many games releasing in october so i really hope this is not true!
not for R*s sake this will topple ANYTHING!
but theres only so much time and 90% of october is going to be dedicated to bioshock infinite!
another reason i cant see 2K releasing GTAV in october, they will just be stealing away from infinite.
hmmmmm which foot should i shoot myself in?
as ive said a million times ill eat my hat if GTAV is released this year!
clever moneys on march or may.
more likely may, for some reason R* really likes that month this gen.
RDR, LA Noire, and max payne 3, 3 games in a row released in may.

The problem for me is the language. I'm one of the ones that don't drop the "F" bomb and other language every few seconds and I cannot look past it. I hate that type of foul language...<shrugs> apparently I'm in a small minority though because it seems to be tolerated most everywhere.
