Lost Planet 3 Surfaces Out Of Nowhere
The last game didn't do exceedingly well on sales charts, and it didn't score exceedingly well, either.
And yet, Capcom wants to give us another: A new trailer for the previously unannounced Lost Planet 3 has surfaced and perhaps surprisingly, it's definitely encouraging. As you can see, they're going back to the frozen tundra common in the first title (the sequel had more jungle/forest environments).
The only issue in the eyes of many is the developer. Spark Unlimited has produced several games in the past, but none of them have been massive hits; there's Legendary, Call of Duty: Finest Hour, and Turning Point: Fall of Liberty...so maybe that doesn't instill one with a lot of confidence. But really, this trailer isn't bad.
Lost Planet 3 should arrive some time next year. In the meantime, here's hoping Capcom can find a way to restore some former glory to its name. The fighting games are still coming up big, but other major franchises and titles are becoming questionable...

really looking forward to this i loved the first two!
i just hope they tone down the cheapness of it though.
LP2 has got to be the most infuriating rage quit game ive EVER played!
the later train level for instance, i must of replayed that like 600 times!!!!!!!!!
not exactly fun playing the same thing day in day out for months on end!

I sure hope they go back to having the single-player being about SINGLE-PLAYER. I loved the first game and was hyped for the second entry, but then I played it at PAX, and again in the demo, and all my enthusiasm vanished. Dismal sales are what you get when you completely change the focus of a successful franchise. Hopefully they learned their lesson.
