Scheduled PSN Maintenance To Last About 13 Hours Today
Sony intends to "keep you better informed" about the PlayStation Network and as such, here's a friendly PSA.
If you check the PlayStation Blog, Matthew Harper of the "recently-formed PlayStation Digital Platforms Community Management Team" has alerted us to the PSN maintenance scheduled for Monday, April 16.
It's just routine maintenance, apparently, but it will last approximately 13 hours; running between 6:00 a.m. PDT / 9:00 a.m. EDT and 7:00 p.m. PDT / 10:00 p.m. EDT. During this span of time, users won't be able to access the Store, Home, Account Management, or play games online, and PSN enabled websites won't service users, either (that includes the Blog). For updates and the notice that will tell you when everything is back up and running at full capacity, reference the PlayStation Twitter feed.
So if you've got any online-related stuff penciled in for the day, you're going to have to postpone. Not that we think gamers "pencil in" time to spend on the Network but hey, what do we know? Maybe some people are just that organized. Or anal. Whatever.
