Rumor: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 To Be Unveiled On May 2

Most figure Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is a foregone conclusion.

But of course, it's not official until it's official. And might that exciting day be looming large on the horizon...?

A tipster has provided Kotaku with what could be a legitimate poster advertising the unveiling date for Activision's latest Call of Duty installment.

There's little chance the 05.02.12 date is a release date (all CoD entries come out in the fall, typically in November, to take advantage of the holiday rush), so that probably indicates the announcement day. As for the chances of Treyarch producing a sequel to 2010's uber-successful Black Ops, those started to grow the instant a French source leaked the upcoming sequel. Amazon got into the fun, too.

So there's plenty of evidence to support the idea and chances are, in about two weeks time, Activision will be lifting the lid on this year's mega-blockbuster. ...nobody will be surprised, either.

I've got to be honest, I've played a ton of shooters this gen. CoD, Killzone, Rage, Resistance, Battlefield, Halo, Gears, MoH, etc..... Next gen I'm just picking 2 - maybe just 1 (especially if Killzone continues). One present day war related and one SciFi and that's it. And neither will be CoD.

I think I burned out on them this gen. Now, back to Amalur and Arkham I go....... ;)

Easily the best multiplayer franchise of this generation. The sales figures don't lie - this will blow Halo out of the water if they release the same time in november.

I would like to see a new engine for the next gen though - but gameplay will trump graphics for me every time

If its a new engine and it goes back to its epic roots (you guys have to admit COD4 was beast) then i'm cmn back baby. Oh and they better not lie again about removing last stand(or final stand)

Black Ops 2. :) IMO, Treyarch has a better storyline to their COD games than IW. I only play SP so that is what I focus on. I loved Black Ops so I am looking forward to BO2. YES PLEASE.

Last i checked people were buying COD because they liked it NOT because a friend told them too. I dont know anybody that would spend $60 plus on a game because others are doing it.

I could get more life out of it that way. As it is havent bought COD since MW2 and Killzone was my last non COD shooter I bought.

I might actually get this one
black ops is way better than MW3, better maps, better systems, better campaign, crossbows...

But I can also say that I'm not paying $60 for any more COD games, too many other games with better value.

Why are you here if you re not going to buy it or dont like it ???? You guys make no sense just go back to playing whatever it is you like and let us true COD fans comment and talk ! Just Face the Facts it will come out ever year, it will not have a new engine, it will break sales records(AGAIN), AND IT WILL NOT STOP so get over it and outta here !

Sorry John, but im tired of all the hate COD gets from people that say they dont play the game or say im Never gonna buy another COD but still want to throw their two cents in.
