Twisted Metal Online Problems Outside US, Gamers Annoyed
Twisted MetalIt's a big ol' "oops" when entire countries can't seem to log into a game's online server.
A few annoyed fans have directed us to the PlayStation forums, where quite a few irritated gamers have said they can't play Twisted Metal online. Apparently, the issue also affects the campaign, as it keeps players from participating in the single-player challenges when signed into the PSN. Jaffe has responded on Twitter by saying he has acknowledged the issue and "has no clue why SCEE territories are locked out." Guess he'll find out more today from SCEE.
The online portion of the game has always been just a touch unstable, even here in the US. It's also a little weird to be talking about a Twisted Metal game with online multiplayer but sometimes, I have to remember how old I am. Anyway, here's hoping the problem is resolved soon and everyone everywhere can go back to tearing sh** up online.

I still love the series though, and am just sad that the issues may mean we don't see anymore.

Do a beta next time Jaffe. You're one of my all time favorite designers, but that would have helped out a lot of these issues. Obviously hindsight is 20-20, but that's kind of a given in today's console market with an online title. A beta is NEEDED.

when will people learn the differences between demos and betas?
this is exactly why companies are so reluctant in releasing them!

Even though they're better now, this wouldn't have been an issue had a standard beta had been released (again if there was one, I guess I completely missed it);

no, seriously every single game ps3 exclusive has been f*cked online!
go to the official killzone forums, into the KZ2 pages and search for 5021 errors.
so many people had issues getting into, and being kicked from games given that error, up to over 6+ months after release!
making things worse if you got booted from a game with that error you lost all your XP!
