Sessler Leaves G4, Departure "Not On Amicable Terms"
Love him, hate him, indifferent; however you feel, it's still the end of an era.
According to Kotaku, gaming personality and television host Adam Sessler has left G4. He was the host of the well-known show X-Play, which has aired in various forms since 1998; he teamed up with Morgan Webb for the latter part of his run. Apparently, he has left due to a "contractual dispute" and unfortunately, the split was not amicable.
Said a representative for Sessler:
"Television personality Adam Sessler and TV network G4 are parting ways, with Adam's last episode as host of G4's "X-Play" airing on the network today, Wednesday, April 25. Adam has been hosting the show since it first aired as ZDTV's "Gamespot TV" in July 1998 and he also served as Editor In Chief of games content at G4. His current projects include starring as himself in the Summer 2012 movie "noobz" and consulting with a film production company on theatrical feature adaptations of video games. Adam intends to stay in front of the camera and continue as a key voice within the games industry. He also sings and is available for weddings and bar mitzvahs."
...we can't decide if that last part is meant to be a joke. Sessler went on Twitter to make a brief parting statement of his own:
"Thank you to everyone with your exceedingly kind wishes and thoughts. I think I'll finally take a nap..."
Okay, so who wants the hosting gig? Who's up for it?

No Sessler, no X-Play.
I will tune in for whatever Adam does next. I've always liked his nerdy but reasonable personality, and his Soapbox podcast was the only podcast I'd subscribed to.
Good luck Adam Sessler. G4 won't be the same without you.

I wish I could remember the game that they were talking about on an episode last year, it was a PS3 game if I'm not mistaken and they ripped it apart for being the same(not changing enough), even though it had a lot of changes to it. Then in the same episode they interviewed someone from Activision and kissed thier ass and talked about how different things were with their next game(the current CoD). I sat here scratching my head thinking did the editor mix up the comments here or what, and that was basically the last time I ever watched the show.
However even though he hated Final Fantasies I still wish him luck in whatever he does.

Considering G4's ownership and the potential for reviewers being "pressured" to give certain games/systems better reviews over others, I have to wonder if there were other reasons for Adam to leave.
Either way, G4 may as well be done at this point. Olivia Munn and the Sess were their best assets over there.

And that's like listening to the local morning news, cause they almost say the same thing over and over. And the cast pretends to be extra gitty like kids during the holidays.
What gets me was that they aired the THE AVN AWARDS a while back. I don't know if they do this every year, but really? If this was showtime doing this I would kinda feel the same way.
That's like watching the charlie sheen roast on PBS, with everything butcherd.

they gave uncharted 2 their 2009 goty (adam also said it was the best game he ever played) they also nominated infamous for goty)
they said the PS3 version of mass effect 2 was the definitive version of the game
they gave MGS4. LBP 1&2 And god of war 3 perfect scores. and they gave heavy rain & GT5 good reviews to.
sure they had some issues with uncharted 3 but they weren't the only ones who did. and thay still said they liked it.
idk i just don't get why people think their bias in favor of 360.
