Rockstar Pass: Get Max Payne 3 DLC At A 35% Discount
Well, might as well pay up front, save yourself a few bucks, and gain access to absolutely everything. Sounds relatively painless, right?
Rockstar Games has announced the Rockstar Pass initiative for Max Payne 3, which allows players to pre-purchase no less than seven add-on packs.
As of right now, you can grab your Pass via GameStop or Best Buy, and Sony is also selling the PS3 version of the Pass on the PlayStation Store. The retail cost is $29.99, which - provided you plan on purchasing all the available DLC for the game - saves you 35% in the long run. The DLC will start in June, run through the summer, and end some time later this fall; here's the list:
- Local Justice Map Pack (June)
- Disorganized Crime Map Pack (Summer)
- Deathmatch Made in Heaven Mode Pack (Summer)
- Hostage Negotiation Map Pack (Summer)
- New York Minute Co-Op Pack (Summer)
- Painful Memories Map Pack (Fall)
- Trickle Down Economics Map Pack (Fall)
Max Payne 3 is set to arrive for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 15 in North America; European gamers will be able to grab it on May 18. The PC version will follow in the US on May 29 and in Europe on June 1.

did i miss the law passed that said all DLC has to be MP related?
i really thought since this is the first time the series is getting MP we would at least see 1 SP pack but looks i thought wrong.
what happened to the good old days of expansion packs?
sigh, 2 reasons why PC gaming will always be superior!
expansion packs and mods, especially mods turning one game into a totally different one!

MP DLC is always small, a map or two something that could of easily been put in the final product.
SP DLC though, well depends how long it is.
i dont think anyone in there right mind would say the DLC from bethesda games like oblivion or fallout series was taken out of the game!
tis why i prefer the name expansion packs to DLC.
DLC = 1 or 2 short missions in the same world, where expansion pack = several missions, in a new world with new characters and abilities.
